“Yo! @mspears96 and @Realrclark25...I’m not even joking around when I say this and I hope your @LSUfootball’ defense hears this: that performance today was one of the most pathetic, lackadaisical performances I’ve ever witnessed. They should be ashamed of themselves.”

He is 100 percent correct, there was example after example where they simply quit, and did not tackle at all

Players can be mad and want to rebel all they want. All it will do is kill their draft stock.
So they better get over what their personal grievances are and start playing some ball. Or not and suffer the consequences.

Regardless of the reason for the lack of effort, these kids are losing $$$ playing like this. Whether it’s a fall on the draft board, or missing the draft all together. Someone needs to kick them in the arse and wake them up.

if it's lack of effort there's only one way to fix it. sit the players or don't even let them dress if they don't want to play 100%. we can't look any worse.
most of these guys want to go pro - don't they realize how they are hurting their own stock? and if they are troublemakers the NFL scouts will know about it.

Who cares. I guarantee you that pelini didn't tell them to play flag football yesterday. There was literally no attempt to play football on defense all game. No desire to tackle, no desire to get into position, no desire to make a play. Everyone was just meandering around the field. I have never seen such a pitiful performance from a lsu defense in my life. We have the 3rd most talented defense in the sec an are #12-13 in total defense in the sec. We are a top 5 most talented team in the country and are sitting at #72 in total defense after playing 3 cupcakes.

As bad as we were against Mississippi State they looked like they were trying, against Missouri no effort, and it was nearly the entire defensive back field and number 18 is not capable of playing LB.

Saban's biggest soft attitude lollygag team was 2010's 10-3 squad, off a Natty. Granted super talented, and still somewhat fundamental, but his worst attitude squad at Bama?
Sure, LSU doesn't quite reload as well as Bama, and have a lotta youth married to new Coordinators. But, what is more disappointing, is the title hangover mentality of 2008 and 2020..
Looks like a lotta backups and few returning starters with a big ring on their hands, are coasting on equity earned by the recently departed & the team of a year ago? The young recruits going through a brutal SEC learning curve. It'll get worse before it gets better.
Saban's greatest talent more so than the D and Recruiting..is The Process..aka the consistent marriage to the grind..the living in the now..fighting complacency..minutiae and extreme focus..and always effort!
