I had a vasectomy this morning so I was about to be s.o.l if I couldn't get my espn3 working. I wouldnt have been able to go out and pick one up.

Mine froze when they went up 4-2. Came back after we tied then froze again. Missed every score! All 4 in the 8th

Curious if there was anyone new to Roku/WatchESPN (or any of the other streaming devices)...
Any problems? What'd ya think? User-friendly?
I been trying to get my dad on the Roku/WatchESPN train, but he seems stuck in 1995.

The watch ESPN app for AppleTV went out last wknd, Sat & Sun. Had to airplay from iPad to ATV. Otherwise its been fine. Back up now.
ETA my mom refuses to download watch ESPN too. Settling for Hawthorne. I don't get it.

You don't have a relative or friend who will loan you their log in info? You can use it on more than one device

For some reason, espn3 worked for me on Google Chrome. Worked out great and I saw the entire game.

Ended up hooking HDMI cable with laptop and it was fine...just tried Roku first

Bought the Roku3. Installed. Borrowed friends user name for service provider. Worked perfectly. Thanks JP!

It's not like adding a channel is that difficult on the roku, it's a click of a button....not to mention roku is generally considered the better product given the content advantage, especially if you have amazonPrime, which ATV does not
All that said, they're both great products and very similar for the most part. Can't go wrong either way, but most publications give the Roku the nod over ATV...them, along with Amazon fire, are head and shoulders better than all the other streaming devices on the market
