Agreed. Love how when Harris put his head down and tried to walk away, coach was quick to grab him and keep the conversation going. Really good job by him, in the moment, to not let his player get too down on himself.

CB is about the only position I’m nervous about for this season.

Denver Harris seems uncountable to me. He may have all the talent in the world, but if you don't listen to your position coach and have a poor attitude. You're gonna ride the bench! His body language says it all, trying to walk away when his position coach is speaking to him, just poor attitude man. Grow up young man, or you'll get spit out and have wasted talent

I think this is a rude awakening for Denver Harris. He's gonna have to work harder, physically and mentally, than he thought to make it here.

I'll be the one to say it, I think he will actually do that. He will bite down on his mouthpiece, buy in, and just play football the right way more and more as the weeks pass. His future is on the line, and not many kids just throw that away. He's obviously not had the best start, but it's not the end of the road just yet.

This kid is gonna have a spot locked up 4-5 games in and people will be acting like they weren’t shitting on him. He’s got the talent and he’s getting coached. Y’all need to lay off

Looks like #10, Denver Harris had some bad body language after getting his arse chewing.

Looked more down on himself. I know he has a history or attitude problems but I'm sure he's being optimistic with a fresh start.

Or I'm being optimistic

Eta do we have any evidence that he still has a bad attitude with us?

I thought it was just me that thought his body language sucked. Seems like Denver keeps getting talked about for all the wrong reasons.

Since it seems to be hard for y'all to grasp, I'll do it for you. Yes, he's behind in the scheme. Some players pick it up faster while others are slower to learn. He has no clue how to play zone coverage. He's a man coverage CB. They let him man up at TAMU and use his gifts. LSU plays tons of zone in House scheme. He's lost as you saw in the video. It takes awhile for young CBs to adjust to it. Maybe that's why they recruited the freshman they were better fits for the scheme, already played it in HS, and can digest it faster alongside their ability. It's not hard to grasp why he's slower to pick it up especially when he has a shitty attitude. Might also explain why hungry young freshman are starting to pass him up.

It may be a bigger learning curve for Harris. His attitude and body language is doing him no favors at getting better.

If a freshman who’s been here for 2 months has grasped the “scheme” quicker than a guy who’s been here since January then he has more issues than we think

Where in that video do you see him playing zone?

He was lined up against the outside wr. The inside wr blew past him.

That's an interesting and much needed drill for most teams.
This drill is all about discipline and technique. It pains me to say this, but if you watch Alabama DBs over the last decade, they execute this perfectly. DBs have to drive their blockers backward while keeping contain. DBs that just charge in there normally take themselves out of the play. LSU was not to good at this last year.

lol how long y’all gonna keep spewing this bullshite

So a true freshman who wasn’t an EE is ahead of him in the “scheme”

plenty of people including coaches and media members are saying he's had a problem learning zone. He in particular has had a problem. Stop acting like something like that isn't possible.
