We hired a Choir Boy as coach. Great work by Scott.

Just because a guy had a 4* next to his name out of HS doesn’t equate to talent. A lot of the players on this current team were told to look elsewhere. What has Tyrell Ward done for us? Damion Collins 5* HS player? Got the boot from Kentucky. Coaching is a major part of it, but so is talent
Then whose fault is it for missing on a recruit? That happens to every school.
More importantly, D2 schools don’t land 4 stars of any type.

That first half was about as miserable a performance as I've seen.
I think one of the main issues last year was how soft we were. The talent was not great but IMHO it was not as bad as the product on the court which seemed to regress as the year went on not develop.
We look pretty soft again. That Baker showed last night to be more what most of us expected is not surprising. MVSU may be the worst team in college basketball.
Not enough dogs. Hannibal and No. 2 Williams appear to be dogs but neither one of them have much offensive game. Hell Williams got us back in the game with his tenacious D but it was obvious he did not want to shoot on O. And on maybe one of the biggest offensive possessions of the game at the end we call a dribble drive for Hannibal, who did what we did on offense much of the night, dribble into traffic and throw up an awkward attempt at the goal.
How much would Cook help, hard to say but we'd still be overall soft, struggling to rebound getting pushed around on the interior.
I will give CMM credit for the defensive adjustment in the second half, they gouged us off the dribble the whole first half and we adjusted the way we defended that effectively in the second half....one could argue it was an adjustment that could have been made earlier....then we squandered the point lead late with 3 dreadful offensive possessions.

I honestly don’t care, all excitement for basketball is gone for me given the recent moves. I’m sure I am not the only one that feels this way.

I don’t know anyone expected better in year two. I lost all interest in the basketball program the minute Wade was fired, and nothing about it since has given me any confidence that it will be better than bottom half of the SEC in the near future.

He scheduled all these cupcakes because he knew once the SEC teams start. They gonna get their shite pushed in. Now even the cupcakes are beating that arse

You’re not- I went from hanging on to every press conference and going to every home game to complete apathy.

It’s pathetic. Basketball is the one sport that can be turned around quickly

Wade did something I hadn’t seen since the Dale Brown era. He had exciting and big time talent every single year. His teams were energetic and fun and it momentarily brought people back in the fold. This shite is depressing and abysmal. LSU basketball is something that a lot of people take pride in but clearly not the LSU administration

You guys have lost your goddam minds. McMahon will be a great coach at LSU before it's over. He took over a dumpster fire, had only 3 players stay on the team, and is building the program back with some really good talent. Just signed two top 60 players in the country. Nichols may be just a good basketball team and we didn't play well early in the season. But hey if you all want to jump off a cliff go ahead and do it, just don't take your cell phones with you, because this same ole shite is tiring.

Personally I do not beleive McMahon is a horrible coach in terms of X’s and O’s. I do beleive he is playing with inferior talent and that is his job as well. Lost in the loss last night was we did come back to take the lead after being 24 down. They did not close the game to a much inferior program, but anything can happen in a few minutes of basketball. I do think there will be growth with this team moving forward. Ceiling is a middling SEC program, probably more likely a bottom quarter SEC program. Is what it is.

I firmly believe this was a valid excuse last year, but not this year. It's still early so I haven't lost complete hope yet, but it's not looking too good.
We don't have anywhere near the talent to win the SEC but talent wise we can certainly finish middle of the pack. It's up to coaching to lead us there though. This is not primarily the player's fault. They are nowhere near as terrible as last year.
