If we win the toss, i say we take the ball and get a quick score considering how alabama starts their games. they have only trailed for i think 1 minute and 16 seconds.
what are yalls thoughts on that?

Sounds good, but there's no way to tell what will be the mood after half time. I guess if we're on top at that point, it's a pretty good idea. If we win the toss though, we'll defer.

I say we defer to the second half and play defense so we don't GIVE them a quick score! How about that! Just kidding. Seriously though, I don't think it matters which side we start on. We just need to start strong, period. We need to get the crowd involved early. A strong start will be our key.

I disagree. We should not put lee on the field first he does better with less pressure. Our offense always plays better in the second half and Alabama does not. LSU Defense needs to steep up thier game agianst Alabama.

If Les doesn't take the ball, if you win the toss, he is completely off his rocker.

get a quick score
Going to be tough.

This is a stat, that in my opinion at least, has gotten no play whatsoever. This is a crazy stat.

I say we defer and then pull a Steelers trick and onside kick it to open up the game, but we actually convert.

I'm really just kidding...but i wouldn't put anything past Les

that would actually not surprise me if he started the game with something like that.

If they failed to recover, he would never hear the end of it

I say we start the game by sending Rahim Alem out for the flip. After winning the flip (he never loses), he would then rip Saban into five different pieces, decapitate Julio Jones, topple (and) Mount Cody, and then blow the opening whistle after he decides that the tone has been set for the game.

of course if they did recover, he would be in the LSU HOF the next day, assuming we drove and scored and won the game

This is genius. I was thinking that giving them the ball and allowing them to score might have been a better plan. I would have never thought about that.

How bout I one up your genius plan. How bout we win the toss, and get a quick score. Our defense then stops them on a three and out and we then get the ball back and score again. Then we wash and repeat. It really is that easy huh?

Problems with your plans...

1. Placing your eggs in the win the coin toss thing works only 50% of the time.

2. Getting a quick score is something we have had difficulty with against any good defense because we have a freshman qb. Alabama is a very good defense.

3. What about our defense stopping them? No mention is made of that. We have scored a decent amount of points, but our defense is more of the issue.

4. We have the whole rest of the game to plan.

What do you honestly think Les was thinking of doing in that situation. I am guessing in his wildest wet dream what you proposed doing is what he dreams of happening. The problem isn't what we want to have happen, it is the how do we do that.

That is debatable.

I say we put Jarrett Lee in and let him throw a pick six to start the game. Get it out of the way early, of course, he did throw two against GA.

How many ranked teams has Alabama beaten so far in this tear? Is it 1? How many teams with winning records period have they beaten?

At the time - we beat a #9 or #10 Clemson, a #2 or #3 UGA.

How about you?

This game has to start fast for lsu, we cannot get down early like we did against florida and goergia, we have to be pressing them constantly or they will pull away fast, a quick first strike will be key to getting the momentum and the crowd into the game and to put some dought into the heads of the bama team!
