My guess is that Brennan is the starter against Florida State
No, that's not going to happen because it would be incredibly stupid to risk losing Nuss to the transfer portal. Nuss will start, Brennan will backup, and Daniels will be a wildcat QB only.

I think Mojo has this right. While we fixate on which QB had 1 more completion than the others in a no-contact drill, the real test we should be watching for in camp is whether our o-line can hold its own vs. our strong d-line. We CAN win with any of these QBs but we need the run game to feed the intermediate pass game and vice-versa. None of that happens with a C- or D+ o-line. Coach em up Brad Davis!

The heavy downvotes on this post means it’s the truth. The rant is never right when it comes to QB’s

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, you guys are just Nuss bots...
Here's one reason why I'm bullish on Brennan:
Myles accomplished a feat considerably faster than Burrow did, in his first start (albeit, the defense sucked), Brennan tossed for 345 yards and three touchdowns (yes, 2 interceptions).
In Burrow’s first two starts at LSU, he passed for 291 combined yards. Burrow didn’t throw for over 300 yards until the 11th game of the 2018 season (307 yards against Rice). His season-high didn’t come until the final game of the season (394 yards against Central Florida in the Fiesta Bowl). Burrow didn’t throw for over 300 yards against an SEC opponent in 2018.
Last year was cut short and I think that’s an important stat for Tigers fans to remember. Brennan will never be Burrow. And maybe he doesn’t lead the program to a 15-0 record in 2022.
Nothing I've seen in his healthy starts changes my opinion that Brennan should get his shot with LSU.
It's not Brennan Homerism, the experience and stats back it up.

LOL. Nuss quit last year when the job was his.
Yeah, thats a really bad look
They are doing what they must to keep Nuss engaged, knowing hes most likely to bolt. I mean he bought himself an extra year, so BK plans on letting him use it down the road

This is all it boils down to with Brennan pumpers, he's been here a while so he just deserves the QB1 job. Sorry, but that ain't the way it goes.

When it comes too discussing the QB position. This board sucks. Ya'll don't know crap.
Posted on 8/5/22 at 4:48 pm to Geaux Guy
I don’t care who the QB is because I trust BK to make the best decision. Your reasoning is just absolutely ridiculous if you believe it should be Brennan just because he played behind Burrow. I like Brennan but he is a statue and our O line is a big question mark. Nuss makes bad decisions a little more often and Daniels is run happy. All of them have their downsides. We finally have a staff that can coach them though so there’s one upside lol.

Brennan played in completely different offense and had on average 15 more attempts a game than Burrow did

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about

It is a fact that the starting QB is the biggest guess.

Brennan is an extremely talented passer, but unless the offensive line is amazing, I worry that he will struggle to have success against teams with a good pass rush.

You design an offense to suit the talent not the other way around.
Our best players are our receivers; therefore you want a guy with a big arm who can read defenses and make accurate throws to every part of the field.
You don’t want a scrambler when you have the best WR in the country in Boutte, two proven playmakers in Bech and Jenkins, and a bunch of guys with huge potential like Nabers, Lacy, Hilton, BTJ.

Brennan is our guy this year. Deal with it.

He completed 50% of his passes in his starts. Most were losses. It’s not crazy to think it’s a battle between Nuss and Daniels.

All of you will be hurt when Daniels is named the starter...

Wrong
It’s a Brennan vs Nuss battle with some daniels sprinkled in on certain situations

I disagree wholeheartedly. We have seen these qb’s in one fashion or the other. Lots of film on them. The biggest question mark on this team is the running backs. Granted, Emery did not play last season…but when this group had a combined 172 yards last season, the question marks are there. Can this group make some plays to open up the passing game.
