Normally, I'm not this way. But on Sunday morning, six days before the next game, I'm going to start preparing myself for the fricking nightmare of the century.

The nightmare is that we're going to get our asses kicked by Alabama led by Nick Saban - in Tiger Stadium.

And the sad part is that there's not one ounce of any LSU pride or optimism that tells me otherwise. And usually, I go into a game with nothing but.

Hopefully I'm just a retard and completely wrong and hope to God that somebody saves this thread to throw it back in my face next weekend. But it doesn't look good for LSU AT ALL next weekend.

I can see LSU playing this as their pride game. Anything other than an inspired LSU team on the field Saturday and we can acknowledge we have serious internal problems.

I'm expecting a close game if not an LSU upset.

Oh I know, believe me. I've been going to games for 30 years now.

The worst part is not that it's Bama winning. The worst part is that Nick Saban will be leading them to winning, in Tiger Stadium.

I feel it too Paul....If the same team shows up it will look like a hoops score....But keep your chin up...#1 team in the nation in our house led by our old coach who whored out for the money...It has all the earmarks of a huge upset

Is it the lack of defense? We cant stop the run or pass. We need to nickname our defense... exlax... everything runs right through it.

That's about 95% of it. The other 5% is a qb with a learning curve lower than whale shite.

Bama has looked like shite in several of their games. They are tough yes but far from unbeatable. Not making stupid penalties and Pick 6s would be a good start.

Stuff like this upsets me. Because we do this all the time.

Let me give you an example. You are president of a widget making company in Baton Rouge. A bigger maker of widgets at a higher level offers you more money to make widgets in Miami. YOU TAKE THE JOB. Many people would. He finds out that making widgets at the pro level is different than at his old level and he takes a different widget making job at a company that would hire him back at a pay raise so he and his family will be better off.

He does that. He never had any link to the first widget company. He didn't go to school there. He didn't play ball there. And his old job was filled and they would not have hired him back.

So that makes him a whore? Well then there are a whole lot of whores out there if that is what you define as a whore.

What is important to him? His and his family's happiness. He wasn't having that in Miami. He had no ties to LSU, other than it BEING HIS JOB. I know we like to make it seem like they should know better, but you know what, it was his job. A job he was good at so someone who could pay more wanted him to do someplace else. This is known in other jobs as a good opportunity. This is not being known as being a whore.

I had to have this discussion with a lot of friends because everyone was upset at our coach when he interviewed for an opening someplace else. Like your coach, our coach never went to our university. He never played for our university. He took our THE JOB we offered to him. Of course he will be looking to get a better job. Just about everyone out there is looking for a better job. Even those who own their own businesses, if offered enough money, would sell it.

That doesn't make them whores. It makes them the same as you and I (and if you are saying we are all whores, then I guess I can't argue that).

Or it means that you have a young team. Or it means that Bama was even more up for the game. Or it means that Bama THIS year has a better combination of experience and talent than we do. Or it means that the ball took some really bad bounces for us. Or it could mean the officials really called a bad game. Or it could mean that Saban came up with the perfect game plan against our great game plan. Or it could mean lots of other things.

I guess I am in a foul mood today my owls lost a game IN THE MOST PAINFUL WAY POSSIBLE.

In short I could simply have said that a loss sometimes really doesn't mean all that much. Stop playing doom and gloom if we lose to bama. It happens. I think sometimes younger fans who don't remember some of the bad times get all panicky with some losses. Any kind of change can make things worse as well as better.

Change for the sake of change is not a good idea. A loss to a bama team that is playing better than us doesn't mean we have to tear it all down and start over again. It doesn't mean there are internal problems. It means we lost a game against a team that is expected to beat us.

Do you know why they are expected to beat us? Because they have played better than we did this year. Heck, many at the start of the year thought we were going to do no better than 9-3. That is what we are on pace to do. I guess when we beat up ASU or Tulane or UNT, people get overestimate how well we are playing.

Well, times have changed...My father worked for the same company 35 years...back then there was loyalty on both sides...money was not the single driving factor in a mans life...but you are right it is the single driving factor today...if someone offers you more money you are out the door...I'm just not sure that is the best thing for the world...greed is greed....Nick would have had a hard time living on the 2+ million he was making plus the many money making deals the top businessmen were including him in...Nick could have lived out his life in comfort...well until he started loosing and then the hell with loyalty...he's gone
