All the downvoters gaslit right now because they know I’m right. What else fixes this softball program?

Idk how you justify keeping Torina around after this year unless you are content with these same results. Bad coach? No. The coach that will lead you to a WCWS? Doesn’t feel like it.

I agree with everything you've said, but getting to the supers likely buys Torina at least one more year. Her contract expires in 2026. If Scott is going to pull the plug on her, he will likely wait until then. Next season could be really ugly, which might seal her fate. If SW extends her contract, then it means he doesn't give a shite about the program.

Good pitching will beat good hitting most every time unless in this case you have a female version of Monster or like Ted Williams.

I’ve said for the last couple of years she needs to be replaced. The program has been stagnant for the last several years.

I believe this is the most experienced team she's had? This is more than likely her last chance unless she's lucky and pulls off a miracle next season.

She’s the Les Miles of softball.

Could not agree more. Elizabeth has got to go. Look at the national championships fellow SEC programs have racked up, yet our softball program has zero. Hanging on to mediocre Torina any longer would be asinine!

Oh we’re going to blame this on one player lost at the beginning of the season. Should have quality backups at LSU. I could understand if we were ULM or NSU and lost that one player. She showed how boneheaded she is by pinch hitting that freshman at the end of the game. It’s like she doesn’t want to go to the World Series and wants to hurry back home to her family.

I'm not sure if this is the most experienced team she's ever had at LSU, but it's got to be close. We were expected to make some noise in the SEC this season, and after the 24-0 start, it looked like we might. Sadly, we returned to typical Torina team form once we hit our conference schedule and couldn't buy a hit, losing 6 of our 8 SEC series.

I actually like Beth. From everything I've heard, she's a very nice person and she cares a lot about her players. That said, I just don't understand some of her decisions and her love affair with Howard Dobson as her hitting coach. During the off-season, she went out and got a very well-respected up and coming coach in Bryce Neal, but strangely it looks like all he does is coach first base.

Beth had her best chance at a championship when she had Hoover, Walljaster, Bell, Jaquish, Landry, Simmons, etc., but she couldn't get it done. We couldn't even win an SEC regular reason or tournament title with them.

I don't mean to interrupt the fire Torina circle jerk, but how about at least waiting until we get eliminated from the SUPER REGIONAL we're in first?

You should go cheer for Stanford. I think you'd be a lot happier.

The announcer said that rise pitch looks belt high the entire way and then finishes over their head. She had it tonight.

that is how it works baw

same with drops

they look like strikes then rise or drop out the zone

they are what you call swing and miss pitches.

i said same thing baw. she shoulda got a natty with that crew for 3 years

id love nothing more than for her to win it all and dispel those happenings,

i will cheer for her until we are out

she is the only major coach scott has not replaced yet

it all depends what standard scott wants

This is true. If we are eliminated tomorrow, and continue to struggle next season, but he chooses to renew her contract anyway, then we have to accept that he's ok with the program's continued slide into mediocrity.

Can't slide into mediocrity when you've been living there almost a decade.
