they are #1 in the NET rankings. i'm sure this will drop them, but their body of work still has them easily as a 1.
plus st. mary's NET ranking is 37, so it's not like this is some awful loss.

Well they did win the WCC 16-0 not the WCC tournament. Big difference, probably same outcome for our beloved tigers

If you actually look at LSU's resume it's a lot more impressive than the pundits would have you believe.
St. Mary's, Furman, Charleston, Greensboro, Memphis, hell even LA Tech are all 20-win, respectable non-conference opponents.
In conference we beat UK, UT, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss - all 20+ win tournament teams.
The narrative that LSU is less deserving than a Kentucky team with an equal resume, same record and H2H loss is pathetic.
