With him working for a college, as a coach, had he done something significant, she SURELY would have sued. There would be pictures. There would be police reports. And on and on.

and yeah, my brother is a lawyer that handles this type of stuff. So I get to hear the stories.

and we are assuming he showed up to court. often times, when they don't, these things are automatically granted.

You bet ree. And the fact that you continue to start these kind of threads that try to show o as some kind of knight in shining armor on a daily basis shows your true colors.

Link one other that I have done. Just one where Eaux is a "knight in shining armor".

quote:

this is you ree: "Look at what o has to deal with guys, with all these outside problems it's amazing what he's been able to accomplish as a head coach."

Outside problems, did I say that? I thought I posted an article done by Sports Illustrated, you think I wrote it and am clamoring for support from idiots like you.

That's what this is about man. You should just go ahead and admit it.

I would say you need to admit your hatred but that is totally not necessary.

If you don't like the post or the information in the post don't read it. It is really pretty simple. If you are a masochist and feel the need to torture yourself, go for it, I can't help you though.

How about you quit throwing a tizzy fit over it?

How about you read the article and if you don't like it shut the hell up.

Did he? You seem hellbent on attempting to make it seem like it's just as likely the woman who filed the order was at fault.

Something significant??? Like hospitalize her or cause permanent damage? Yeah she probably would have sued for that.

But anything less than that and no harm no foul?? Just rough her up a bit, good ol fashion tusslin huh?

In 1991?? Yeah there’s actually a really good chance there wouldn’t be or that they are no longer around.

Well that practically makes you an expert!!! Congrats counselor!

That’s the first insightful comment you’ve made all thread

But respondents are much more likely to challenge these orders if they will have dramatic consequences on their lives.

Orgeron was FIRED from Miami over this. He spent a year out of coaching because of this. If he didn’t show up it is likely that it is because he knew he was screwed either way.

And when asked about it in 2005, he didn’t deny anything, he said this:

quote:

"All I’m going to say is this: I’m completely comfortable with the steps I’ve taken to correct the mistakes in my life, and they’re no longer part of my daily living," Orgeron said Thursday in Oxford.

No that is not what I am saying. I am saying if this was physical, she would have called the cops, filed a police report, and they would have taken pictures, and he likely would have been arrested. because none of this happened, this was likely a drunken argument or two of some sort, and maybe some drunk harassment. Not that that is ok, but the entire point of this, is that this could be ANYTHING, and probably nothing substantial.

Yes, in 1991, they took pictures.......

And again, it was no secret he liked to drink and party. And ultimately manned up that he wasn't living right and turned his life around.

Not necessarily true. Women live in abusive relationships all the time without ever calling the police. Unfortunately, I witnessed it first hand as a teenager. That doesn't mean that's the case with O, just going by what I know.

How convenient that you left off the "but it was good sex part".

Being an athlete in college, and in a fraternity, and highly hormonal, I'm perfectly ok with the fact that was a stupid kid for a while. I was not nearly as crazy and reckless as most of my friends though....

I was also lucky that everyone didn't have cell phone cameras back then. If so, my university would have lost 90% of everyone in the first month. So, I'm certainly not going to throw stones.

But that's what we do. We learn. And then we give back. Take shots all you want.

Coach O is more of a real man than any a-hole who downvoted this story. We have no idea what he and his wife and family have been through. Football don't mean anything when your best friend/wife is dying.

I don't disagree. But to me, you have to look at the history. What else does he have... a head but to a bouncer? If there were other women before or after this, then I'd say perhaps there is more to the story. But this looks isolated, and is more likely just an unhealthy relationship. Again, I'm not saying this is right, or defending O, but for people to get on here and say he is a woman beater is completely uncalled for.

You're coming off like a real arse in this.

Orgeron admitted his mistakes and went to rehab to clean himself up from the alcohol and cocaine (twice actually). Everyone who knows him knows he had a rough stretch that includes hitting/getting physical with his former girlfriend several times.

She kept going back to him as many victims of domestic violence do. Its a common occurrence. Once he was clean, she lifted the order.
