Could you be any more of a fricking cliche? Wanting to get into a fist fight with an adult in defense of a man who had a restraining order filed against him by a woman when he was 30 years old for "repeated violence." Well done!
I really see why he is defending O they sound like the same guy

Orgeron, hired this week to replace David Cutcliffe at Ole Miss, had a restraining order filed against him by a Dade County, Fla., woman who accused him of repeated violence 13 years ago, said Robert Keen, a supervisor with the Dade County clerk’s office.

The charge of repeat violence was filed on April 10, 1991, and a restraining order was filed the next month, records show.

Here is what a Florida judge must find to issue a permanent domestic violence protection order:

Code Section 741.30 - 741.31

Domestic Violence Protective Orders

Protective orders, in instances of domestic violence, may be issued if a family/household member commits one of the following acts of violence against another family/household member:

Assault, aggravated assault, and sexual assault;
Battery, aggravated battery, and sexual battery;
Stalking and aggravated stalking;
Kidnapping;
False imprisonment; or
Any other criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death.

I don't feel taking the time to read through this whole thread, but as someone who has made many mistakes and fought a lot of demons, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Orgeron for being able to change his ways. From what I can see, he and his wife are incredibly happy and he appears to be a good father that is very involved.

The amount of time and work that it takes to make that kind of change can't be understated.

thank you for posting this and well said. IT says a lot about a person to admit mistakes and make complete changes.

I enjoy the threads as they are happening, but when I read through long ones, my ADD kicks in and by the time I get a couple pages in, I forget what the OP was about in the first place.

Going to need a link there, you fricking piece of shite.

Who else would and could get it rescinded dumbass?

The linked article said nothing about her rescinding the order. It simply said it was rescinded

Who could get it rescinded? Eaux? Ha Ha Ha ha Ha !!!!

Most orders of that type have a limit and have to be renewed

So a "permanent" restraining order is only good for less than a year. Okay dude, whatever.

she may have simply decided not to go back to court to have it renewed.

May have? May have? Less than a year after it was issued?

But of course you are an ignorant lying shill, so I wouldn’t expect you to know or understand that

but the people who repeatedly bring this up know all the facts and aren't shills? Okay man, whatever.

So again, post a link for what you claim is a FACT, or STFU

the link is in the idiots post that brought this subject up. Read it of STFU !!!

You are as big an idiot as you appear apparently. thanks for participating. No trophy though.

ETA: Yes, in FL these orders are for a 1 year term and must be renewed every year.

Again, read the post by the idiot. It has a time line that someone with a modicum of sense or smarts should be able to follow and understand. You will probably need help, just let me know.

You bet ree. And the fact that you continue to start these kind of threads that try to show o as some kind of knight in shining armor on a daily basis shows your true colors.

And that's a fan of o, not of LSU.

this is you ree: "Look at what o has to deal with guys, with all these outside problems it's amazing what he's been able to accomplish as a head coach."

That's what this is about man. You should just go ahead and admit it.

Copying and reposting this so he can’t delete it when he finally understands that “permanent” restraining orders have a maximum limit of one year and must be refiled annually

More like a bunch of pussies that should not be following a violent sport like football.

The first time I remember laying eyes on my brother-in-law was in a fight, in a bar, with him.

Jesus, when was America pussified so much that something as simple as two men getting in a fight causes message board pussies to hold a decades long grudge when they didn't even get their butts kicked. Instead they were not out having fun and cowering behind a TV, computer, sleeping, whatever wimps do.

It wasn’t less than a year.

The charge of repeat violence was filed on April 10, 1991, and a restraining order was filed the next month, records show. Keen told the AP that records also show Orgeron did not violate that order. The woman later received a permanent injunction, Keen said, and the court order prohibited him from going to her home or workplace. The injunction was terminated in July 1992

The Orgerons appear to be really good people. O attends my church sometimes and guest speaks every now and then. None of this changes my opinion that the hiring of him as HC was incredibly head scratching and risky for a program like LSU. I realize all hires are a risk but this one was over the top considering the head start LSU had on everyone else in the search. It may all work out but one thing is for sure and that is we will know all after this season.

Man you have NO CLUE. He could have parked behind her and prevented her from leaving. Yep that false imprisonment.

He could have taken her car keys and threw them in the fricking back yard. Yep, you guessed it... false imprisonment.

A judge could have said calling her at 3 am, 14 times is stalking.

You can literally create thousands of examples out of this with most not having anything to do with him physically assaulting her.

Again, judges hand these out like crazy. Mostly to protect women and separate the two to let things calm down.

What, you've never dated a woman that said she was gonna call the cops on you because you stayed out too late??

Again, had he laid a hand on her, there would be proof and photos, and more charges.

But there isn't and there weren't.

Because you know as much as I do, correct?

You have to admit, this, an restraining order granted by a judge, combined with him being arrested for having a bar brawl doesn’t paint his character in a positive light.

Yeah, I've been in at least 6 bar fights (and a few others off the books). And dated a few crazy women.... one that when she drank, would hit herself and tell others I did it. But the sex was too good. Oh yeah, and I was 23.

And now I volunteer about 10 hours a week and do a lot for my church. So throw the stones.

He made a few mistakes, and turned his life around. End of story.
