Etling’s biggest issue was not even trying to make hard throws.
He was a very safe QB and the stats reflect that he made not so many, but very efficient throws.

the thing is that neither year is bad.
16 passing TDs is pathetic

Also just want to add that LSU went 4 weeks without a passing TD last year

7 of his 16 TDs came in the final two games against A&M and UCF.
There were SIX games where he didn't throw a TD. In half the games of the regular season, the starting QB didn't throw a TD.
Only 8 out of his 16 TDs were in SEC play and of those 8, 6 came in two games: Ole Miss and A&M.

then its fair to say that the attrition of the OL position from November 2016-August 2018 is O's responsibility and not Miles' fault?
You don't know if those players left on their own or were processed. So I'm not sure fault is the right word. It's just known that there was some attrition.

Let's focus on the two months before signing day that Orgeron had the job, not the two-year recruiting cycle before that. Recruiting doesn't start in the November before signing day, it starts years before that. Etienne's mom is quoted calling out Miles as making them feel unappreciated
Get ready for damone to move the goalposts.

You get to a point where it’s not worth the time to argue with these guys. They blame the guy hired two months before signing day, not the guy blamed by Etienne’s mother. They claim you can’t land a 5-star and 4-star RB in the same class so there’s no reason to try, but teams do it every year. It’s just pointless to continue with them.

The attrition at OL was because they were busts. They transferred from LSU to Southeastern, Tennessee State, and Abilene Christian.
George Brown is the only one to transfer to a D1 school (Miami), but he’s yet to do anything.
2018 (Redshirt Junior): Did not see any game action, missed year while recovering from knee surgery.
2017 (Redshirt Sophomore): Saw action in three games as reserve offensive lineman...Served as member of practice squad.
2016 (Redshirt Freshman): Forced to sit out season due to NCAA transfer rules...Member of practice squad.
2015 (Freshman, LSU): Did not see any game action, redshirted to retain eligibility.

I love how they went seamlessly from Ed inherited one of the most talented teams in the country to LSU hasn't been recruiting 4 and 5 star talent so LSU can't compete with bama and hasn't been able to for several years.
Ok well which is it? Make up your mind.
The other argument is that LSU isn't recruiting enough 5 star players for the 2020 class.
It's like they don't realize that there's only 29 5 star players this year. Eleven of which are undecided none of the undecided are offensive tackles.
Where is Ed going to scrounge up these 5 stars?

s earned it so far. What he did after the Troy loss was impressive.
It doesn't matter where he is ranked really, but he created that scenario.
You wouldn't need to come from the brink if you managed your squad rt. He should have lost 1 game against a softer than usual schedule.
That's not impressive to me at all.

What? You said and others said we weren't talented. We had people saying troy was more talented and blamed the loss on Les. You get lost with your arguments.

Everyone keeps rehashing the same arguments.
The proof of who is right will be when O wins some hardware this year or doesn’t. It’s really that simple. This is the year.

Maea Teuhema and Chido Okeke are playing professional football currently. Don't know how you can call them busts.
You know good and well that players transfer to FCS and lower schools so that they don't miss a year of playing.

What do you mean "hardly" pro football?
If you get paid a salary to play football, that's professional football. The vast majority of college players don't ever play professionally. Don't see how you can look down on it.

How do you call someone “playing” pro football when they haven’t made a roster? The NFL signs loads of camp bodies every year, they get cut before the season starts. They aren’t playing pro football, they’re trying to play pre football. Okike is in that category.

No. I said that we had problems along the offensive line particularly at the tackle position. LSU lacked upperclassmen to plug into the offensive line due to a several players either leaving of their own accord or being processed.
LSU lacked experience in other areas but it really hurt on the Oline.
I've never made the other arguments that you mentioned nor have I heard anyone else make it either.

To goldfish if you sign to play for the lingerie league you're a professional football player.

No they don't because then they'd have to admit how flimsy their arguments are. So they twist and spin and spin and twist. It's funny when you think about it.
