Too bad he’s the 4th best coach in the SEC West. Bummer.

Zero times

How many years has he been the head coach at LSU?

Any poll that has Jimbo Fisher as the 3rd best coach in America is a crap poll. He's a good coach, no doubt. But 3rd best in the country? We'll have to wait and see after a few years of him in the SEC to see how valid that is

If anything, it just shows the MASSIVE gap between 1-2 and #3. Jimbo is the only active coach not named Saban or Swinney to win a national championship in the last decade.

Perhaps you could argue Chris Petersen (I would) or Brian Kelly should be ahead of him, but otherwise, there is no clear cut #3

Had Auburn not choked in the NC game vs Florida State, Gus would be much higher.

I had many year of “decent” Chief. You fricking mediocrity accepting little people will get the reality that Woodward ain’t about decent.

Les finished 2015 with the exact record minus the cancelled game as Orgeron did LAST YEAR AGAINST THE SAME SOS. frick man - get your head out of your arse.
Les should have been fired long before then.

TAMU PASSED LSU IN 1 frickING YEAR. ONE.

Third year, the last coach won the West twice in three years.

Did Ed inherit the exact same situation as the last coach?

Three years is plenty of time, Kirby Smart did it in two, but I’ll let Ogre answer that,
“My goal is to build a championship program fast, very fast. I understand the expectations at LSU and I invite them, because I have the same expectations of myself and my staff."

This should be the year, right, no excuses.

Gus won the SEC in his first season at Auburn

Kirby won the SEC in his second season and won the East again in his third

McElwain won the East his first two years

Gary Pinkel won the East in his second and third years of being in the SEC

Meyer won the SEC in his second year

Saban won the West in his second season at Bama and won the SEC in his third

Chizik won the SEC in his second season

Basically, if your head coach isn't getting your team to the SEC Championship within the first 2-3 years, it won't happen.

No one inherits the exact same situation as their predecessor, it's an inane and pointless argument. The question is: did O inherit a talented program capable of competing for an SEC Championship. He did.

He also inherited more kickers than linebackers and Brandon Harris as his QB
