There's no real discourse here when posters can't acknowledge that LSU has a huge influx of RB talent coming in for 2019.

But, we are talking about Goldie. He told me that recruiting Etienne was pointless because LSU was recruiting Akers and you can't sign that many top RBs in one class. Nevermind that LSU just signed the #2 and #8 ranked RBs in one class.

His other claim was that Miles would've landed him had he been retained. This despite Etienne's mother singling out Miles as the reason that they didn't select LSU.

Then we can delete all the threads celebrating this class currently being potentially the best class in LSU history?

I don't think I said that. I think I said we had a very good shot at landing Akers. That would've made the Etienne point moot because there was no way we were getting both of them under any circumstances.

Miles clearly made a choice there. That's what you have to do sometimes, this guy or that guy.

After whiffing in ‘17 and ‘18 he had no choice but to have to land 2 elite backs.

Funny enough, that's what people were saying after whiffing on DL in the 2019 class.

Who?

I've never seen anyone saying that grabbing elite players is a given.

Maybe you need to venture over to the recruiting board then.

The next elite defensive linemen is always a year away there.

I spend quite a bunch t of time there and actually know the difference between commit and sign

Elite players are never a given. I see people expressing hope.

After whiffing in ‘17

Here we go again blaming the guy hired 2 months before signing day. Don't look now but LSU already has 18 commitments for the 2020 class - and it's only June. That isn't unusual, at all.

And he didn't whiff in 2018, either. The book is far from being closed on Curry. He broke his leg as a junior in HS and hurt his ankle as a senior. Despite those injuries he garnered a 4* rating and offers from coast-to-coast.

There it is again. Do you realize that FSU signed the #2 (Akers) and #7 RB that year AND the #1 APB? (Etienne was only #15)

Do you realize that LSU just signed the #2 and #8 RB in the 2019 class?

Why couldn't they sign both?

He was hired January 2015, not 2 months before signing day.

It’s not. Donte Starks committed in July 2018 and was the 19th commit to give a verbal commitment for the 2019 class.

And he did't whiff in 2018, either.

If Curry gets 9 carries a game that’s a little over 100 rushing attempts this season.

Do you think he gets 100 carries this season?

I’d say at a position where the most experienced guy is a junior who is projected to lose his starting job to a freshman, it’s not that much of a stretch to say Curry can get 100 carries this year.

Did O not recruit while he was an interim coach?

Only O can answer that.
