Nah, this is what I believe based on what he's said about his past decisions and the decisions he's made here at LSU. I'm not saying it's right, but I'm saying that I have reason to believe I'm right.

He thinks he lost his OM job because of a 4th down call that didn't work out, which was the beginning of a MSU comeback, which is a ridiculous conclusion to reach. I'm not making that up, he said it.

Ever since he's been here, he hasn't made a single call that I would regard as bold relative to other coaches. He's played it pretty much by the book. And that's what we have now, a by-the-book coach that's scared to take the type of chances you have to take to be great.

He had third and goal from the 3 in OT against A&M. A TD was a walk off win. Instead he runs up the gut once and kicks a FG. He always coaches scared.

I see I havent missed the same dumbasses wringing their hands about the upcoming season.....gold, Damone, lonnie, and others right on cue.....the only one missing is Rick and his stupid arse "facts" about why O is not the right guy.

I don't know that I believe that he always coaches scared, but he certainly did in the ND game. There was absolutely no reasonable logic to kick a FG in that situation after ND just waltzed down the field for a TD on the previous drive with little to no resistance. Either our defense was completely worn out or they figured something out. You don't just kickoff to that team where a touchdown can beat you. You make them come out of their own endzone to beat you if you don't make it.

But, it's perfectly ok to dog Mainieri at every turn and call for him to be fired, right? The two coaches finished in the exact same spot in the SEC West and overall standings the past football and baseball seasons.

I havent been around for a couple of weeks numbnutz...but you havent noticed because youve been too busy playing both sides against the middle.

Besides, O's team didn't looked like hammered shite for most of the season like CPM's did.
You cant have it both ways TL...either your for him or your against him.
You always want to give the appearance of the voice of reason but that act has grown stale. You've shown the propensity to jump on the anti-O bandwagon a lot in the last 6 months.

Its ok to own that stance ya know. Its not a crime.

You just said a whole bunch of bullshite to get around the fact that your positions on dogging Mainieri and insulting those that do the same thing to Orgeron in your opinion is hypocritical. You're more than welcome to that opinion, but don't get bent out of shape if people call you on it.

Another one that thinks people are "acting" on the internet. I love ya, Red. You're better than that.

Miles’ last offensive classes dived and you saw the results of that last year when those classes were the upperclassmen.
Lawd what a crock.

Miles last influence was with #7 ranked Feb 2017 signed #7 ranked class.
The dive came with Ed's debut Feb 2018 #15 class.

Somehow I missed this gem the first time. Do you honestly think that this is true? So if I'm with him then I can't criticize if I think he's wrong. Conversely, if I'm against him then I can't say if I think he does something well? What if I believe both of those stances are wrong?

I've never understood why some think it's an all or nothing proposition when it comes to opinions on Coach O or any coach for that matter. All coaches mess up and even the worst coaches out there have good games. IMO they should both be recognized. Isn't that why they get paid so well?

This thread is NOT ABOUT PM. I'm over that debacle. And yes, I think he should be fired and replaced. He doesnt have it anymore IMO.

We're talking about O.....not CPM.

We've heard your opinion and others like yours ad nauseum. Its the same dumb shite all the time.

I haven't posted anything about PM except what I responded to you with in over two weeks because the season is OVER...you know finished....as in, not playing anymore.

Can you comprehend that?

I've moved on. But here you people are two months away from the season opener harping as usual with the same cast of demented characters. Its comical.

What? you dont think O will provide enough fodder during the season to gripe about?

How about you find a post where I was griping about Coach O and of course you don't want to discuss CPM because it makes you look like a giant hypocrite. And what if I was griping about him here and there. Did you just so happen when I was talking about the great things that I think he does? Did you notice when I was telling people that they were dumb for calling him shrimp captain? Did you also miss the part where I said that a #6 finish and a top 5 recruiting class is great? You're seeing what you want to see so that you can call people O haters while at the same time you've been saying the same or worse about a coach that finished the same as Coach O.

When was that time that Miles finished #6 and had a top 5 recruiting class?

We're all happy with a 6th place finish last season but we should be thankful as well, since its very unusual for a 3 loss team to finish with an AP 6th place national ranking.

As for the recruiting goes, we have people here who are completely blinded by their bias which leaves them unable to see reality in regards to the past and present day status of the program.

Recruiting under Les Miles

2013 Class
National Rank 6th
SEC Rank 3rd

2014 Class
National Rank 2nd
SEC Rank 2nd

2015 Class
National Rank 5th
SEC 3rd

2016 Class
National Rank 2nd
SEC Rank 2nd

As you can clearly and objectively see, Miles was still recruiting at an extremely high level until the day he walked out of his office for the last time.

The idea that Miles handed Orgeron anything other than an elite roster of talented football players is absolutely incomprehensible.

The biased mindless posters we enjoy here will be here shortly and respond by saying Miles' classes were "top heavy" with elite recruits at the skill positions. It's a shame that Miles dumped a shite load of elite skill position talent on poor O who was left to pick up the pieces and manage this depleted roster.

Over the last few seasons of Miles' time as head coach, he still averaged the 2nd best recruiting class in the SEC. That's why it's insane to insist that Orgeron's terrible losses and his teams abysmal performances against inferior teams were due to a couple of untalented O linemen. It's absurd... It really is.

If we are going to clamor over O's 2019 & 2020 recruiting classes, then it's only logical that we do the same over the classes that O inherited on his roster when he was named head coach.

Now I can say I contributed to keeping this 100+ page thread moving along...

Great! And still pissed away that talent regularly with his archaic offense and sideline gaffes.

Look up his SEC record the last few full years...I'm too lazy. Wanna tell me about all that talent again?

Yay! On paper it’s the #2 class but in reality it produced one regular starter on offense - Cushenberry. It yielded three backup WRs, and a ton of OL that transferred to junior colleges and FCS schools after they couldn’t get on the field at LSU. Hurray for paper titles.

And lost to almost every directional school in LA along the way. Please stop with the CPM comparisons. He couldnt figure out a way to take one from a geriatric coach and a team that had been abysmal coming in to the tournament....at home no less.

I also will repeat since you dont seem to read well.....that I'm not posting or starting threads about CPM because the season is OVER...dead horse and all....other than to respond to you.
