Does anyone have a video of Spencer Ware dirt rolling a catcher?

Not me but the catcher was in the way ... yes, I'm a girl and don't know what the rule actually is about him moving/not moving but he didn't even move. Commentators said that they personally thought that the crowd was more upset by Ware's reaction and made some reference about "yeah, he's a football player" ... he sorta jumped and made a fisted "yeah" motion near his chest. Catcher seemed ok.

i don't think i would call it "dirt rolling" brah.. it was nothing more than a cleat to the thigh that in turn made the catcher grimace in pain. not really impressive unless of course you sweat you some s.ware.

Well he obviously did not care if the catcher was injured or not.

Clean slide. What he did after was completely unacceptable, though.

that's what the vandy faithful wouldn't let go all weekend... i can't really knock them for it, i'm sure PM reminded him that he's on a diamond right now not a gridiron.

Everytime I've ever seen a catcher get beat at the plate, the runner stomps on the plate after. Spencer took it a little too far, but that's football players for you. If a vandy player had done the exact same thing, they would have loved it in that stadium.

He needs to get his cleats down.

No need for anyone to slide in with them up.

Now, if he had lowered his shoulder..we would have something to talk about

Am I the only one that saw that ware went spikes up on that slide . Watch the first view of it on that video and you can see him do it right above the catchers shin guards. pretty dirty play by ware if you ask me

i was at the game and vandy definitely didnt hold back any boos at any possible moment for the rest of the game, but after watching that video, im not sure if he is super pumped about actually taking out the guy or the fact that he was safe. he was looking more in the direction of the ump than the player. you see him actually stop celebrating when he glances and sees the catcher on the ground.

that may be the png glasses talking, but i dont think its as bad as its made out to be.

nope, that's what i was trying to say. that's why the catcher rolled over, he caught a foot full of cleat on his thigh.

Awesome slide but over time Spencer will learn that going to check on the catcher after would have proved he owned him. I'm sure once he rethought it he would have done it different.

nah, he was excited about rolling the guy over brah. that's a football move, as a washed up former player i can attest to that emotion.
