He's just not that good of a baseball player. He can't hit decent pitching. Plus now that he added weight he would probably be slower in the outfield and on the base paths.

I think Spencer Ware is still faster than most of the baseball players on LSU team.

Agree and I am a bit suprised he isn't on there. The coaches talked him up pretty good last year when he started playing. Maybe he decided to stop playing to concentrate on football.

What does his speed have to do with anything? Hell, if that's THAT important, then let's go raid the track team for baseball players.

If you don't think speed is important in baseball, then that needs its own thread ASAP.

Speed is only soooo important in baseball when you don't have any other skill sets like hitting and fielding.

He doesn't need to play baseball. Hopefully he gets off the fake dope and gets back in shape this offseason.

Thank god. I love Spencer Ware especially when that Vandy catcher was going to block home on him. Every time he came to bat though was pretty much handing the other team an out. All we heard was how he was getting back into swing of things after spring practice. That day never came. It was cool seeing him out there. I sat right at 3rd base so he would run by my seats. God was he huge in comparison to them. I think his legs are bigger than my chest.

That's funny you would say he isn't that good of.a.player, he played last season and probably after in the line up. Its seems unlikely that a national powerhouse baseball program would put a player in the line up that "wasn't a very good baseball player "..... IMO

couldn't hit off speed pitching, and with a roster limit, it's tough finding room for a part time player, what with spring football training.

He's about to get buried in the depth chart next year in football.
