Hurd was very fortunate that first ball went right at Milam. It was hit very hard. He got unlucky Milam didn’t field it but that ball goes 2 feet in either direction no one is mad at Milam. The second ball wasn’t his fault. He induced weak contact and the defense let him down.
But bad things happen when you load the bases and leave no margin for error

Anderson and Loer each gave up 3 earned runs but people acting like Hurd lost this bc the field can’t make plays.
