I actually think the ump was trying to help him there because of the rule book. Don't get me wrong, frick the umps, but I think he was trying to help Jay a bit in that situation.

I know I wasn’t in that number though! I know not to ever count out the tigers in the postseason and knew what little USC had left in their pen once we ever got the bats going.
