South Carolina @ LSU -7.5 (Mens Basketball)

Tipping off 7:30PM central on SECN
USCe (3-2, 1-0) travels to BR Saturday to take on our Fighting Tigers (9-2, 4-1). The Gamecocks have been ravaged by covid, pausing all team activities twice, and have only played 5 games.
They are 0-2 outright (& ATS) on the road and have played just 1 conference game (rolling a bad TAMU team). They'll be without Frank Martin (& 2 assistants) due to covid.
The spread opened at 9.5 and almost all the bets have come in on LSU . The line, however, has still dropped 2pts. Curious for sure. Probably just a bad # to begin with.
I expect public money to pour in on LSU today and the spread to tick back up toward 10. If you want the Tigers take them now, IMO.
The total opened at 153.5 and is trending up (currently 154.5).
Maybe I'm just being a homer but without their HC, having not played in 10 days, long road trip.. I dont see how the cocks keep it within 10. Also love the over considering our penchant for giving up points.

They have way less games than us, haven’t played in a while and are down their head coach. We should roll their asses up. We have played great the last two games.
I’m wondering how they managed to get ravaged by a head cold/flu twice. Are they just not taking it seriously? Once you have an outbreak you should have everyone get it. Bama football did it earlier this year and they had hardly any COVID issues.

Id be nervous laying this with lsu. We have no idea how good south carolina is. This was supposed to be a really good team. We dont know how they react to not playing for this long. Sandwich spot for lsu. So many variables

I'm just anxious to see if we turned a corner after the Georgia ot win ,or if the 2 complete arse kickings weve given our last two opponents are just us playing above our head and the opponents playing their worst games

Gotta play good defense on Lawson. If he gets hot it could be a tough night.
I have enjoyed the defensive effort these last two games. Have to continue to rotate when they get Into that 1-3-1 zone. Keep it rollin’ boys.

I'm not betting on a game where our opponents only played 1 conference game. South carolinas really the only team that nobody knows much about yet.. I'll wait for the game against texas tech to bet . We will be underdogs and will kick their arse

This is what I was thinking about in my posts above ,if our defense has turned the corner and offense keeps getting better and better,we could make a deep run.

Alabama has looked unstoppable. I want to see how we look tonight and how Alabama looks today or whenever they play their weekend game before I make a bet on them

From a personnel standpoint this probability one of the better South Carolina teams in the last few years. They just haven’t gotten to play much or consistently. So I don’t really know what to expect. However, Wade’s teams have seemed to match up really well against USC in recent years.
Both in games and in seasons Wade’s groups can be plagued with lapses of focus. They’ve just played their best two games of the season leading into a big week next week. Hopefully this isn’t one of those loss of focus moments
