I hate ESPN so much. If it isn’t Herbie and Fowler doing our games at 2:30, I’m gonna be in pain probably. I hope they bring Nessler over and just replace Gary with someone good. They also gotta keep the song

ESPN will produce an exponentially better product than CBS. Even if you don’t like ESPN, this is indisputable.

The CBS broadcast length and quality is painful to get through

CBS and NBC are much much better than ESPN in terms of production and picture quality. I was hoping NBC would shell out some money to put on a primetime SEC game of the week.

NBC is the best. I don’t care for CBS at all, they can make a 17-10 2:30 game last 4 hours.

That does sound like a lot of three and outs

I doubt that game goes anywhere it just means the best game of the week wont be at 230.

CBS and NBC have much better production values. Especially the last couple years since ESPN started cutting costs. Some of the ESPN camera angles resemble that of a high school game.

Agree

I get people hate Danielson and what not but CBS captures the emotion and pageantry of the sport like no other. Their camera crews are excellent and the audio is great. ESPN always has the audio to where you can only hear one band play or none at all, or it’s awkwardly delayed.

SEC on cbs has coincided with our great run so i for one will miss it. At least it isn’t fox (though their pregame show is the best)

It's going to be a new deal with ESPN that takes effect when the current contract with CBS expires.

Is there a chance that ESPN steps up their production value because of this deal?

I’d rather have fox than ESPN if I was guaranteed Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt. With ESPN we may be stuck with Beth Mowens for all we know

If they put the marquee game at 7 on ABC, I can’t imagine they will run SEC games opposite that on ESPN and ESPN2. Everything else probably gets crammed into the 11 and 2:30 slots. They might keep the shitty night game on the SEC network.

Jamie Erdahl makes up for a lot of their shortcomings. And by that I mean she’s good at her job you pervs.
