Booger (at least I think it was him) was the only one to touch on this.

Thanks. Glad to hear that someone at least discussed the obvious comparisons.

do you think all three are leaving their situations under the same pretense?
I'm a bit confused by your use of the term pretense. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought Kiffin is on record that he sees LSU as a better opportunity, specifically one where he can win championships more consistently. Is that reason a pretense - i.e. an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true?

Is that not essentially the same reasoning the others gave for leaving? Are those pretenses?

If so, what do you assume the real reasons are for these moves? According to all reports RE Kiffin, the remuneration was "very similar" on all his offers. So if the others are leaving simply for more money then they are different - not sure why any of this would be characterized as a "pretense" though.

They are all scared of LSU, and what might be once Lane comes here and makes it a powerhouse.
I initially thought this way also, but now I believe it has more to do with Ole Miss.

A relevant, competitive Ole Miss is better for ESPN, etc... than a second tier Ole Miss. Kiffin had them there, but it seems the talking heads do not believe anyone else will be able to keep them there as consistently.

On the other hand, they believe LSU will always be there - even with a Les Miles or someone like Coach O at the helm.

Because it is a historical pattern with Kiffin. He goes some place wins some games and jumps ship before ever reaching any goals of note...and he will do it to LSU soon too. Plus Kiffin is a cheater...never in 150 years of collegiate football had it been necessary to classify faking injury's to slow down a game as an Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalty until last year...all because of him! When a person acts like a piece of shite...they should not be surprised when they get treated like one.
