Sorry. Don't believe you Shea........

1. This is a Louisiana kid.
2. He knows we have Cam Cameron on staff.
3. He knows we have signed a bevy of receivers, both in the last year or two and this year.
4. He must have seen what Cameron did with Mettenberger just 2 years ago, and what Miles did with Russell and Flynn in '06 and '07...
Why would a La. kid with these facts want to go to LSU's rival Ole Miss ??????
Why ? IMO he wasn't a true Tiger fan.
If he was, he would have committed to LSU, NO MATTER WHO we had already committed. If he's the #1 recruit in the country, or at least in he Top 3, and the top-rated QB, why would he worry about competitionn ?????

"I love LSU and I love all their fans," Patterson said. "The majority of my friends are LSU friends so it's kinda tough. I love them all around. I love Death Valley. I just really couldn't see myself playing there. I didn't think it was a good fit for me at the time."
Couldn't see himself playing there??? With Cameron and all those receivers ?? And what does "at this time mean ? To me it means one thing - Feleipe Franks.
"This school has been on my heart ever since I went and saw them against Auburn. I just got a feeling. I visualized myself playing in Oxford. It is a relief to get it off my back. I've wanted to go there for so long. I'm just ready to start recruiting for them."

He added that his relationship with Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze and co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dan Werner led him to pick Ole Miss as well.
"(Freeze) is my favorite coach and that's my favorite coaching staff," Patterson said. "I had a great relationship with coach Dan Werner. I talked to him day in and day out. He basically lived in our coaches' office. They expressed how much they wanted me. There's no doubt in my mind that I was their guy."

looking at a QB that is listed as 6-2(more like 5-11) and 180lbs and a QB that is 6-5 220.... ill take the latter.

As a person who has had LSU be apart of my entire life, I cannot unequivocally say that I would 100% commit here if I were an elite athlete.

1) He's not a Louisiana kid
2) I think he's probably more concerned with Harris than Franks. He doesn't strike me as someone who wants to sit even a year, much less 2. I think he wants to be able to compete to start as a true freshman. And as polished as he is, he'll probably have a chance to do that at Olé Miss.
3) I'm not sure he's big enough to play in the NFL. Like I said, he's so polished now, I'm not sure how much better he can really get relative to being an NFL prospect. He may just want to have a storied college career, put up a ton of stats, and compete for awards. And let's be honest, he's more likely to do that in Freeze's offense.
I understand him going to Olé Miss--it makes sense for him. And I hold no ill will towards him. Nor should anyone, else you look like a petty, immature a-hole. Though, this is the rant, so...

the fact is, Miles has not recruited one HS QB yet that has performed even remotely adequately. Cameron and Miles look to be HORRIBLE developers of QB talent.

All he needs to know is that the last OM QB was holding up a "we're number 3" (or whatever they were) in TS. That should let him know OM just doesn't get it and probably never will
