Sometimes a blowout loss serves the team better

Than squeaking by with a win. If we win that game no change would be made, I think BK make the necessary changes after being skull dragged.
My necessary Changes:
Perk back rushing passer
Putting the more talented freshman on the field opposed to the so called veterans (Sampson over Lacy, etc.)
Seeing what Denver Harris can do under the bright lights because what we have ain’t it
Lance heard to RT, E. Jones to RG, #70 to the bench
Have a very short leash on Jayden Daniels, he’s had plenty of chances to run away with the job, it’s time to put Nuss in the very next time Jayden decides to hold on to the ball and not push it downfield (this is my first time feeling this way, I’m not a Nuss should start guy but it is what it is)
Last but not least, stop coaching these players to be Notre Dame scholars. He has to find a middle ground to where they can keep their mentality and still be disciplined. Before you know it BK will have “Flight of the Bumblebee” or “Beethoven” playing in the locker room

I’ve never seen a team dominate another talented team, fail to score in red zone, then completely give up in the 4th.
They weren’t better then us. That was a bizarre game.

Anyone sober person who watched the game.

If reading threads like this strike a pulse in this team, I hope like hell they are reading it. What I watched late in the 3rd and 4th quarters was….

Goes into halftime with the lead.
Starts the 4th quarter with the ball and down by only 7.
Proceeds to let opponent go on a 31-0 run until a last minute garbage TD.
What would you call that?

Brother, we didn’t quit in the 4th quarter.. they dominated us the entire second half.
You can say what you want to justify what you saw Sunday but FSU was undeniably the better team in that game.

Brother. Our playing call tendencies in redzone cost us this game. We had Jordan Travis rattled in the second quarter and dropped an INT that bring it to 21-7.
This was all self inflicted ways to gain momentum and confidence.
They dominated the 4th quarter because our current qb has limitations.

Thank you for summarizing the blind ignorance of this board the past few days lmao
Are you insinuating the play calling would improve with Nuss at QB?
They executed and we didn’t, thus making them the better team. Hypotheticals are irrelevant at this point sitting at 0-1.
“Better” teams don’t get whipped by 21 (28) points just bc of bad play calling.

Everytime we lose a game like this at the beginning of the season someone posts on why the loss will serve the team well.
It's such bs. That loss is bad any way you look at it. Just like Miss State, UCLA, FSU last year. If LSU wants to schedule these games right out of the box be ready to play it.

It won’t. when the fan base starts to question the players’ character, it will not motivate them.
Btw, I am always sober.

The MSU game will show what we can expect for the rest of year
Hoping and praying for the best because I really believe we still have the talent to make it to the playoffs and with the right Juju and momentum we can win another natty
It’s up to the football Gods

Could've fooled me.
Do I think the gap between us is as great as the final score? No. But their halftime adjustments were clearly superior, their QB and WRs made plays that ours did not make, and their D played better as the game went on while our D (aided by a bad scheme) got worse as the game went on.
You have to give them credit - they were better than us. The game is 60 minutes. We were better in the 1st half, but they were way better in the 2nd half. Our coaching with the Perkins scheme, the 3-man rush, and the terrible 4th down calls really aided FSU in whipping us like they did though in the end.

Would be nice to have a well coached team that doesn’t need to get their arse kicked to realize they should give full effort. Coaches left a lot to be desired too. Need to get their head out their asses.
On to another thought, I wonder how much it’s hurting not having a DL coach.

They whipped our backside in the second half. Anybody that's played any football knows it. Norvell took our coaches to school in the second half too.
