Saturday's attendance of 10,367 was the largest in LSU baseball history. The paid crowd (11,535) was the largest in postseason history.

How do you have 1,200 no shows for a regional? The tickets aren't automatic, you have to request them, why not use them?

Some guy said he got high and didn't feel like walking to the stadium. Not sure about the other 1199.

You have to order a book which includes all games right? Some probably couldn't make the games but still had to buy tickets to all the games

ULM and a few Belmont fans most certainly have a tournament book. There are still several hundred LSU fans that don't make the game and don't pass their tickets to somebody else.

Every single home game shown on tv, you can see about 5 to 10 empty seats behind home plate. Always aggravates me.

All of these explanations are fine and dandy but none of them answer the question of how can you sell more tickets than your stadium holds with SRO AND how can you count that as attendance?

Also, I posted this yesterday but I've seen the attendance greater than 10000 in the box score before the last 2 nights

I'm all for LSU leading the nation in attendance but come on phantom tickets? If these guys want to donate to the athletic department or even the school itself with $200 million in cuts coming that's fine but we don't need to be selling phantom tickets to increase attendance numbers, if they wanted to sell 11,535 they should have made the stadium bigger.

NOTE: consider this when expanding Tiger Stadium to 99,500

The box score shows paid attendance, not actual. And yes, it has been higher in the last. The largest paid crowd was in 2012 against Alabama, i think it was over 12,000.

But having nearly 11,000 people there, that was awesome

I know. Does anyone read my posts around here?

Last night was the largest actual attendance ever, almost 11,000.

Alabama was paid attendance. It clearly states that in my post but who actually reads these things anyways.
