Guys, its Les Miles, he is a habitual liar, and does it to the fans over and over and purposefully with a bit of glee in his hart. Les, has totally bought into the fantasy of his media character, his grass chewing, gambling man type real coach persona and he really feels like his way in the only way and he despises the fans and their rhetoric. He continually and deliberately lies to the fans at every news conference before and after the games and his favorite is describing exactly what he thinks the fans want here in spring and fall practice and then doing the exact same thing he want to do in the games just to stick right in everyone's faces. Quote after first spring scrimmage "All three quarterbacks passed for over 200 yards", some 600 yards in total, only problem when naming the leading receivers and their catches the total for the entire squad was around 200 yard. You can't believe Les and it would certainly benefit LSU if he were somewhere else, just that simple, he need to move on.

Jesus, what a moron.

Nope. Every year it's the same. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

am glad that you don't have your hopes up and just "expect [LSU] to compete for a National Championship"! ??

I would hate to see your expectations if you bought into the offseason hype!

Dude, you have got to start making sense if you expect me to understand what the hell you are trying to say.

The only thing that will convince me that Miles has decided to change his offensive philosophy is if we see the team working on the passing game against the early non conference "easier" opponents. Rhythm and timing between the QB and receivers can only be perfected in live game conditions. If you've hardly used it all year, you can't expect it to work like clockwork when you suddenly desperately need it to against Bama.

You mean like they tried to do against Eastern Michigan last year in the first half and were in a one possession game at halftime so Les made the decision to run the ball the second half and they blew them out.

This team will be different than last year and more than likely better because that is what happens when you get most of your team back the following year.

They tried working on the passing game once against a lesser opponent and it didn't work well. Obviously, that approach is is totally wrongheaded and can never work. Gotcha.

Malarky, this can even vary within a game depending on 5yd bump/holding mood of official.
I recall a lot of bitching ab Seattle's bump, and timing in one game isn't the timing in another.

BH not being as horrible
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So you honestly think his play last year was horrible? Serious question.

not because of some great improvement on his part. Some improvement, yes. But biggest improvement in his play will be because he will be healthy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And you also don't think a year of maturity and experience playing in the toughest league in college football will help his improvement?

I've had a belly full of this notion that BH was so awful last year. He was solid. And WELL above what AJ was the year prior.

Yes he was pretty horrible last year. Especially towards then end of the season when was injured. As a whole he was not very good. Early on he did ok without being asked to do much. After that he was pretty bad.

Yes I think a year of maturity and experience will help. I just do not believe he will become a super QB. He didn't improve any last year over his previous years performance.

Look I am not hating on the guy. I just do not believe right now that his passing will improve to the point that LSU's opponents fear him like they did Cam or Tebow etc.

A little improvement in his health AND his passing will be a big help to this team. Together those two improvements amount to more than just a tiny amount of improvement in his play and his impact.

You are blind if you think our defense will have growing pains haha. There is no such thing as growing pains after what we saw last year.

I hope you are right. But the expectation put on Aranda are unrealistic at this time. Quotes like "If he can do X at Wisconsin just think of what he can do here!" are only looking at one side of the equation. Yes he has better athletes here but that is countered by better athletes on the other side of the ball as well.

Look his defenses require everyone to be on the same page are huge plays by the offense can result. I don't think it is realistic to expect our player to pickup a new system and step into that role as if they have been playing it their entire lives.

By growing pains I do NOT mean that the defense will be worse than next year. Just expect it to not be performed flawlessly every single play. THAT is unrealistic.

A source that watched film from the scrimmage, and even showed me some videos, said we threw the ball over 80% of the scrimmage. Some of the formations in the videos were very new to see. Brought Guice in motion from the backfield and split him out. Lined up TE's in the backfield on the side of Harris w RB behind him, similar to pistol. Lots of TE seam routes were very open. Arden Key so fast off the end

Well since Miles' tenure has been the best tenure in lsu history you shouldnt want to see a difference.
Fans on here boast about how much better the sec is over the other conferences and then get mad when a bunch of true freshman(2014) lose 5 games.
