He was SOLID. There was a reason you didnt hear much about him when he was here. He locked up his man and didnt let him get the ball.

I thought he was a top5 CB here of all time. He just did have all the media attention, or whatever you want to call it....mainly because he didnt have a lot of interceptions or anything fancy like that.

I don't know. He belongs in the conversation, with Mark Roman, Corey Webster, Travis Daniels, Ryan Clark and Chris Williams.

Yea, this is a pointless post. Guys come out of ok college careers and go into the NFL and are studs. This happens A LOT! But also, Chevis WAS good at LSU! He locked down his guy all the time.

chevis was very under rated during his time here.. teams rarely threw at him for a reason.. falcons must have confidence in him stepping up this year after letting foxworth go

After the poor pass defense last year, I would kinduv expect people on this board to think more of him. He was a very good, All-SEC corner who consistently shut down his man, and made good tackles. Those are things we could have used last year.

Chevis was as good as we have had his senior year. We missed him last year. Hopefully Petersen is ready to take the torch this year. Didn't quite happen last year.

FYI - Chris Williams was a free safety. Maybe you are thinking about Willie Teal?

Ryan Clark played safety as well,I think Chevis had a better career than Travis Daniels. He certainly had a better rookie season in the NFL.
