the opponent 3pt% is very impressive, it felt like our perimeter defense was really lacking early in the year

The team is getting better every game. I think the hot term being used is "connectedness". Which is that they have begun to have cohesiveness as a team with all of the new faces.

The whole defensive improvement has been phenomenal. The players are more awre of their roles and communicting better. Marlon Taylor has been a pivotal force and Bigby Williams is a bigger version of Jordan Mickey in the middle. It is also uncanny how Naz Reid manages to take a charge virtually every game now.

While part of me agree's that our perimeter defense has gotten better opponent 3pt% has been one of the least reliable statistics to judge a specific defense. It's almost as bad as opponent FT% statistically.

I hope it continue's and it is due to our defense rather than the alternative that our opponents have just missed shots.

Our defense has to keep improving if we want to accomplish our post season aspirations.

lsu is 3rd in the sec in net ranking, 4 seed

2nd in the sec at warrennolan

lsu's bpi has jumped 20 spots in the last week or so, now only 6 spots behind msu and fla

realtime has lsu's rpi up 62 spots from the beginning of the season, currently at 10

so cool to watch these numbers continue to go up

Makes me wonder how good this team can be by the end of the season.

She is married to Shea Dixon of the LSU 24/7 recruiting website.

Her tweet was funny. She had done a "Drive the Lane!" interview with Kavell Bigby-Williams. The @SEC Player of the Week, @Kavell6ft11 met up with @emilyvdixon for this edition of Drive the Lane! She actually did the interview standing on the steps just so she could be on camera.

She tweeted that she needed to remember to wear taller shoes when interviewing basketball players with this picture. I really need to remember to wear some taller shoes when doing @LSUBasketball interviews

Looks like at least a Top 3 SEC team to me!
