I did not boo, but I just sat in my seat shaking my head. I have heard many people complain about Jefferson as it relates to "the fight". However, I think a lot of people may be like me, and disapprove of the move for purely football reasons.

I have always stated on here that I thought the judicial system was unfairly prosecuting both Jefferson and Johns. However, as it relates to the field, I don't think LSU should be tinkering with the offense that has played very well this year. I think that Jarrett Lee outperformed JJ the entire month of October last year, yet Les Miles would not remove JJ as a starter. I do not think that this LSU offense needs JJ's "skill set" as we have morphed into a I formation, play action pass type of team.

If JJ only plays on qb sneaks, I'm fine with it. When Les Miles randomly inserts JJ into the offense, it will hurt the continuity of the offense that has been very effective this year. For those that say JJ doesn't deserve to be benched, why does Lee deserve to be yanked out of games while he has led this team to a 5-0 record and a top 20 scoring offense?

JJ scores a touchdown on 4th down and moves the chains at will running the football. Being a fan of LSU, I will take any day of the week.

TThee is far too much reasoning and not nearly enough knee jerk emotional rectionism in this post for the Rant. It will not end well. There are not pitchforks or torches.

We will need both of them. The 101st passing offense will not get it done down the stretch. We cannot rely on special teams and defense to give us short fields forever.

Jarrett Lee gets hurt on a qb sneak and you're crying then too. Let the coaches coach, let the players play, and support your team! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD?

And not a single reason is legitimate.

What does booing accomplish? Does it make Miles think twice about his decision to put in JJ?
NO

Does it make JJ play better so he can prove the boo-birds wrong?
NO

Does it make the team get pumped knowing that the fans care so little about them that it doesn't matter what injustice happens to them off the field the fans with turn against them in a second?
NO

In short, there is no good reason to boo at a college player, team, or coach. No one knows why you are booing and you are turning a great atmosphere into a negative one. Get over yourself. Your opinion isn't that important.

so you think miles just randomly inserts JJ. like when the sports writer told miles last year after the bama game that the team was just "muddling around" until he called that "get the monkey off your back play". also, you may not think we need JJ's skill sets and that's fine, but your head football coach and your team both think we do. why can't you just accept that? i'm not knocking your opinion i'm just questioning why it is so hard to think our coach knows what he's doing?

That certainly was the catalyst for our high-powered offense last season.

Moves the chains at will? I saw one first down by Jefferson on his drive, the second set of downs ended at 3rd and 7. Being a fan of LSU myself, I too have wathced LSU over the last 2 years and I would not describe the JJ led LSU offense as "moving the chains at will".

I have no problem having JJ ready if the offense if struggling. He actually ran the option well the one time he ran it. Use him as mostly a wildcat qb and an occasional throw is fine with me.

Not at all. That is why I don't make a fool of myself at the games yelling at the coach or players.

Do you get it now? NOBODY GIVES A shite OUTSIDE OF THIS BOARD WHAT YOUR OPINION IS.

People need to get over it, Jefferson has paid a tremendous price for that one night. He missed 4 games and lost his starting job because of it. It's not like he went looking for trouble, trouble found him and he reacted. If you were in a fight you would do anything to protect yourself.

The only problem I have is that in order to play, you need to practice. Jefferson did not practice while suspended, missed practice wed when decision was handed down, the Thurs practice is normally pretty light with a walkthrough on Fri.
I guess Miles wanted to get him some game contact before Florida.

god i'd love to see that. having ware and JJ in on the wildcat, if used correctly could be damn effective. there would have to be a pass thrown sometime though; i don't ever recall us passing from the wildcat.

Honestly, for all the "it gives the defense more to prepare for" that I hear, I'm concerned that it gives our own LSU offense too much crap to work on in practice instead of the starting QB (#12) and future starting QB (#8) getting needed reps in practice time.

We still don't have one this year. Its amazing how last year everyone bitched about total offense but now they don't. We have had 4-5 tds b/c of defense and special teams and numerous others set up by defense.

Because you have some sense. There are plenty of people who don't agree with JJ playing for a myriad of reasons that did not resort to booing.

Maybe a handfull, maybe. I still can't believe we boo our own. I think Miles played this perfecty. He comes in one play to listen to some booing, scores a touchdown, and then the cheers come. Little bit easier then putting him in to sustain a drive while the boobirds keep on, keeping on.

What makes you think your opinion is valued more than others on or off this board? I think you all take this just a wee bit too serious, but then that's my opinion, not yours
