Once all these defections settle and signing day is done, we will settle in around 6 or 7 preseason. Another factor is a new QB that hasn't started a significant game either(before you say it, I think Mett can be better than JJ/JL if given the chance to throw the ball more).

Preseason rankings are worthless but looking at the schedule, LSU and UGA should match up in the SECCG again. Unless the roster keeps getting depleted.

LSU is not the first #1 team to lose a BCSNCG. But it may be the first team with a fan base that doesn't want them to be #1. Everybody wants to win every game. This team still made history at LSU and has a chance to repeat that feat with a Crystal Ball over the next 2 years. Have you forgotten all of the signees from last year waiting to play and the running backs, defense, and new highly regarded QBs we have? These QBs will not be run-first QBs or those refuse to stand in the pocket take the hit and deliver the ball. Mett is JJ's size with a strong arm and mobility. He steps up in the pocket and delivers with authority. We just need to focus on pass protection and getting better and stronger at run blocking offensively. If the defense can perform at the same level next year as they did this year, we will win it all.
