Jaray & Terrace looked good.

Arik & Boutte looked raw but good.

Okay, that's all I've got...

are you serious? Terrace had more drops than everyone else combined.
Simply cannot have that from the #1, period
I give him a C at best

Again, this is because he's #1..decent game for anyone else

It’s not the OLines fault that it takes Brennan 30 seconds to go through his progressions and had zero pocket awareness.

He just doesn’t have what it takes he’s too antsy he needs to watch some more of Joe Burrows film and understand how to simply step up in the pocket while keeping his eyes down field vs scrambling outside the pocket putting himself in danger and sometimes u just have to let it go and let your athletes be athletes I feel like our coaching staff felt guilty since Myles waited so long they were like let’s give Myles his chance vs going in the transfer portal and getting a Qb

They need a new offensive scheme.

Scrap the read option. Brennan isn’t keeping it and running.

If it’s possible, and that’s a big if, a heavy running game coupled with play action passes would really work wonders.

Go back and look at two of those wobbly balls? They were wobbly especially the one around the 10 TD line. Not saying he shouldn’t have caught it, but when you’re know you will get popped, you need a catchable ball. Racy was underutilized for a guy that BRENNAN worked with the most with the 2’s the last couple years. That’s on Brennan. They should have the best chemistry without a doubt.

Brennan needs to be looser in the pocket and is not quick like Burrow if he needs to escape, but Burrow had the same exact complaint about holding onto the ball too long on here by a lot of people during his first year starting with LSU. Burrow didn't even go over 50% in any of his first 3 games as the starter. I do think Brennan can obviously get better at that part because that comes more with playing, but he is going to have to be even faster with his decision making because his lack of speed getting out of a collapsing pocket is a big issue for him in the SEC if the line doesn't hold up well.

Yep. I do believe the interception where his arm got hit at the last second was going to him though and he was streaking wide open down the sideline. That was most likely going to be a long TD pass.

They probably do have good chemistry, but first games starting are difficult for a lot of guys as it's always different when it's a real game and everything is moving way faster.

His progression is his first option, if he’s covered you have yesterday.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened. O will learn his lesson.

Apples and oranges.

Burrow pretty much got off the plane and put a uniform on. He was learning his teammates names and the playbook during the game (an exaggeration...but not much of one).

MB has had years to prepare for yesterday. If his performance yesterday is viewed as anything but poor yesterday (despite a nice pass or two) then I don’t know what to tell you.

We play two shite teams coming up. He needs to show marked improvement imho or you go with MJ (not TJ!) and look to next year. Just my .02.

Did you see some of the passes that he dropped. I watched the football rotate into his hands in a way that I've never seen before it was so poorly thrown. Just an absolute duck. You can practice catching 10k passes over the summer but coming up with a catch in live action, with a corner on your back, and the ball rotating like that is nearly impossible. And it rotated in a way that you wouldn't expect a pass to spin right before it hit his hands. That was atleast one drop. He probably should've caught several of the other drops but man, Brennan isn't making it easy on them.

Arik had a nice block when he pulled through the a gap and sealed off the LB. it wasn’t a punishing block but helped get the runner and extra 4 yards.

He held that ball WAY too long. Racy was wide open for a min. I would have thought he looked to him first. Brennan may not understand scat.

State's QB was in the same situation as Burrow was except with COVID restrictions and Leach being new to State. It didn't seem to affect him any.

I was expecting Brennan to read through his progressions quicker, see open WRs and get rid of the ball faster given the time he has been at LSU. He didn't . But the truth is that for quite a lot of guys, it doesn't matter how long they are on the team when it comes to improving with getting rid of the ball faster. Most guys only get that with playing in more actual games. I don't know if Brennan will get better at that or not, but I guess we will see.

Yes, he definitely wasn't seeing guys who were open and when he did, he often didn't see them fast enough.

You're just blind or naive or both.

The ball hit him in stride, in the hands..hes #1 guy for the defending national champions. Nothing ever should hit the ground that hits his hands (and no contact from defense)

He turned his fricking head and it was clearly obvious.

Brennan was being killed, holding it too long, and indecisive...but when he did good reads and made the throw, our top guys dropped it.
6-10 drops change the game..and we had them.
