Some Baseball Comeback Fun on an Otherwise Dreary Baseball Night

What are our all-time best baseball comebacks - whether in a game, series, season? Ground rule: regardless of how the remaining games/season played out, just stay in the moment.)
I'll get the party started . . .
1989 College Station Regional - we lost in G2 to S. Alabama and then fought back to reach the finals. We would have to win 2X vs Aggie on their home field. They were 58-5. They hadn't lost a series or 2X to the same team all year. But we beat them 2X to advance to Omaha.
2008 - after our 6th SEC series we were 6-11-1. We would then go on a 23-game winning streak not losing until G1 in the supers vs Cal-Irvine. We swept four straight SEC series (USCe, UK, State, and Auburn) and then went 4-0 in Hoover. What a turnaround. (I'll let someone else do the Cal-Irvine honors - last games in the old Box.)
2017 CWS - lost G2 to OSU when Eric Walker went out after the 2nd inning with an injury. We lost 1-13. OSU now had a 23-game winning streak and was 56-4. We defeated FSU in the elimination game behind a strong outing by Jared Poche to get a second shot at OSU. We would have to beat them 2X. And . . . Alex Lange do what he do in the first win (1R on 2 hits) and the legend of Caleb Gilbert was born in the second win. BTW, Michael Papierski homered from both sides of the plate in the second win.

2023 CWS- LSU loses a close one in the winners bracket game to Wake Forest that had an overall record close to the 2017 Oregon State team. LSU then eliminates Tennessee behind a historic effort from LSUs bullpen pitching. Then LSU has to beat a Wake Forest team that hadn’t lost 2 games in row all year twice to reach the finals. LSU wins first semi final game thanks to a man named Will Herring and his much needed dominant performance. And then we all know what happened in the historic Skenes/Lowder matchup in the deciding game. And the rest is history.

Recency bias aside, here's my contribution from the LSU / Tennessee series last season at 1:17am on a glorious Saturday morning. Good times. Good times.
This never gets old...

I was there with my Aggie brother. Listened to them talk about their plans for Omaha all week. To this day still my favorite LSU moment. There were just a few LSU fans there (mostly family). After LSU won we were all leaning over the railing and the LSU players were jumping up and giving us high fives (easier for Big Ben than Mike Bianco lol). I was so happy that night I couldn’t sleep. That was the beginning of the rise of LSU baseball, and I was there.

This and Tommy White's walkoff against Wake in 2023 were the first things that popped in my head. The Wake Forest game was not a comeback, though.
