I think JJ and his family need to understand it is not his RIGHT to play football for LSU. Therefore LSU can bench him, suspend him, or revoke his scholarship at anytime.

I'm pretty sure this about the horrible handling of the police case and not him being suspended. I'm pretty sure, for as crazy as the rant can be, no one thinks he was suspended from the team because he's black.

NAACP is getting involved with the situation

What a frickin joke...

This and will only make the situation worse. Jefferson's folks need to let this play out instead of pushing the issue.

i admit i don't know all the facts doubt any one does other then the parties involved. I think JJ got railroaded but NAACP is only looking for publicity. No way this ever gets to trial simple plea bargain to misdemeanor and get on with your life. Think all involved except the accused looking for limelight and their time on the stage. Sad really but we all know life ain't fair. If this kids name was Jordan Smith and was't a football player the cops, DA,and press would not give this any air time and it would have been settled long ago.

He shouldn't have put himself in a position to be playing close to the tracks.

I looked online also for any article regarding the naacp getting involved and found nothing.

On j-bo there was a recording of a lady speaking about how good of a kid he is and how his civil rights have been violated.
Not sure who she was.
I think I heard she was family.

I heard yesterday about the possibility of getting the NAACP but have not heard a definite yet. Did something happen overnight? The NAACP would be worthless without the media. I think its absurd that anybody believes JJ had his civil rights violated. example: If a police officer allegedly kicks the shite out of someone, that PO would be off the force until proven otherwise. Why would a college athlete be treated any different. If Les would allow him back on the team it would send a bad message to a lot of people. Even if JJ is innocent and this whole thing was a conspiracy, it needs to be handled appropriately in court before anything else is done about it.

I don't think it was JJ's people that initiated this.

If the St Police have a "real" video the DA will have a copy as well.

Since the NAACP was started by white people perhaps Johns will get a "founders benefit" afforded to him.

It's his aunt. JJ needs to tell his family to STFU.
