They are almost a lock for top 8. If seed. Top 5 in RPI. If lose game 3 to Ark it want effect their RPI. Played a tough non conference schedule is gonna help alot

The overly-emotional, irrational ones tonight are absolutely back feeling warm and fuzzy about Elizabeth Torina because they change their minds with the wind, BUT anybody with a good, sound mind knows Torina is not a championship caliber coach. She is what she is, and LSU Softball is pretty much stuck with her. She’s too young to retire, and she’s somewhere between above average (in letter grades, B) and very good (around A- to solid A), so you can’t fire her.

A loss in game 3 will hurt. I think a win makes top-8 likely, but not certain. Tennessee has a slightly lower RPI than us, but I have a feeling they might get seeded higher. Their series wins at Texas and at Oklahoma will carry some weight.

Two runs on two 2-out wild pitches. Then an error leads to two more unearned runs because Berzon can’t close the inning. Now the game is practically out of reach. Inconsistent play is a staple of Beth Torina coached teams.
