This tells me you don't know anything about softball... if you can't spell the coach's name correctly, then don't post. And don't tell me auto correct because our phones today have no idea of the Ford Torino of the 60s and 70s...

For years Torina has hid behind the “offense is terrible” mantra but now she can’t hide anymore. They scored 7 twice vs A&M and lost, they gave the lead twice to Torina in the 6th and 7th and lost…no more hiding Beth

That's why I'm afraid we lose Neal. Right now, all fingers are pointing at the Pitching Coach - which is Beth Torina. Next year, it will go back to scoring 1 to 2 runs and everyone will blame it on the hitters or hitting coach and she can sit back and hide.

She's hit her ceiling and that was a decade ago. But, she is not going anywhere. She does just enough to keep her job and Scott doesn't want to be bothered by Softball too much.

I have to admit they played better than I thought this weekend.

I am sure LSU pays Neal incredibly well and Torina is a solid boss. I doubt a dude his age is clamoring to leave this job. I wouldn’t be surprised if his next job is a head coaching position.

Anyway, I think everyone agrees Torina needs a pitching coach. I’m tired of the excuses too but worrying about Neal already leaving is chicken little shite

Depends who calls imo, he doesn’t get to be at SEC school at his age without being smart. I’m sure he sees the same deficiencies we do and if no changes are made he will leave. If you stay around mediocrity to long you get lumped into that mediocrity.Thats what happened to Dobson who was the best coach on the staff for a long time despite what everyone thought. He may have been not the greatest hitting guy but he’s was an elite softball mind unlike Beth Torina

If you can't read, then I can't help you...

There's a reason why I wear a "Texas Tiger" pin at games because 95% of Texans think LSU fans are stupid illiterate people and that keeps me out of trouble here. People like you prove that Texans views of LSU Alumni are correct.

This is so dumb. If that’s the case why has Torina let a 30-year-old take full reigns of the offense and is crushing it? Pretty obvious Beth’s mistake was keeping her bbq buddies

ETA: “not the greatest hitting guy” that’s his one fricking job. Your incessant apologies for Howard Dobson is a laugh riot. The guy fricking sucked at his one job, being a hitting coach

Well Tiger yes he was the hitting coach also when his recruited players like Bell, Jayquish, Landry were here too. He was the lead evaluator until he went to Team USA..

That’s a horrific success rate given he was at LSU for over a decade

If I’m Beth I’m putting my name out for the next job to find an escape hatch

Zero chance she gets another SEC offer, if you can’t win big at LSU it’s hard to see her winning big at a lesser school
