What will suck is if we don’t come back wickersham gets saddled with a loss she really didn’t deserve. Gorsuch did a crappy job with those inherited runners.

We handed them some runs, that said, you will be hard pressed to win many or any game with only 1 run. LSU did not take advantage facing a freshmen pitcher who was illegal and had multiple shots at her.
Not looking good with Doyle, Jones and Antoine up. We will need to pinch hit some people.
If LSU wants to take it to the next level, we will need to start hitting elite pitching. Pitching is only part of the formula. Gotta score runs to win.

I just got online after our two games in Dripping Springs and you answered my question on how we are doing. I can only tell so much from the box score.

Not a great weekend for Pleasants between the defense and at the plate.
Her and Doyle have had some head scratching mistakes on routine plays. Hopefully they get better moving forward.

We faced off against Lynch to start the game
Lynch was leaving some meatballs over the plate, we either fouled it off or we watched. On quite a few outs, they called it back because Lynch was called for an IP. There were quite a few of those, I lost count. We had many second chances against her but nothing ever happened.
Anna Jones gave LSU the lead with beautiful opposite field double.
Wickersham pitched a very good game. The zone shrunk on her a bit in the 6th, Torina pulled her for Gorsuch. Defense fell apart shortly after that.
