Also, I would expect Amanda Doyle to see 3B or 1B. Springfield will likely see 1B.

Just because she is a super freak in HS, doesn't mean she will waltz in and be starting lead off. Let things play out. Its a big adjustment from HS to college.
I have heard several people say AJ Andrews' sister Aliyah may come in and compete to be the leadoff hitter....

The rules in softball make it easy to transfer. As was said above, it depends on the goals of the individual. Selman transferred. Glasco transferred from Georgia to Oregon, Aldrete lef Tennessee, just depends on the individual and what satisfies them.
Yes, you sure can't assume a highschool star will become a college star. Glasco is a good player, won national player of the year in high school, had a 19-homerun freshman year, then things went south. She is hitting .360s and about six homeruns, pitches every once in a while, and plays left field. Not bad at all, but not what a lot of commentators thought.

So "let the year play out! Next year doesn't matter at this point!
But this what's I think will happen..."
Awesome post

And only one of these transfers was likely due to playing time.

Selman wasnt getting playing time. Aldrete slumped badly and Glasco's father moved to texas a&m. Regardless, transfers are part of college softball and the rule that requires no sit out is the reason it happens as often as it does.

Did this disprove my post?
The talk is about people leaving because of lack of playing time, and they three you listed only one transfer was due to playing time. So...you disproved your own point with the evidence you provided. (And Selman still isn't getting that much playing time, but she is a tad closer to home.)
Also, Aldrete was struggling with some issues after a friend died and wanted to get back closer to family. She still hit for over .300, not sure I'd call that "slumping badly." It's not like she went from her .350+ average to .200. Anyway, her on field performance is not why she left Tennessee.
*I did not know many of these facts, I looked them up for the purpose of this post.

Wasnt trying to disprove your post. I was saying that transfers are common in college softball.
Annie saw her average drop significantly , understandably so with what was going on. Remember they had that shrink working with the team just to help them with mindset at the plate.
Playing time would be the only thing i could think of that would send a player away from a potential CWS team.
Id want to start for Ole Miss rather than sit the bench for LSU. But as the others have said, it depends on goals and what the player finds satisfactory.

Corbello is the 4th option and it sucks for her considering her value a couple of years back. We definitely do not make that Arizona Regional without her during that season. Her change up is filthy, but her command is just off sometimes.
I think a lot of this has to do with time in the circle. I don't think she had pitched in over a month. Corbello is really good and showed how good she was before the emergence of Hoover and Allie. I am thankful we have her on the team.
Great win! We will build on this and continue to get better.

Yeah i think so. Miss state has a good lefthanded pitcher and some good players so it wont be a walk in the park
