I didn't say they might or should. I said they should look at their situation vs their goals. Most players should yearly IMO.

That's assuming goals = playing everyday anywhere. Maybe being on the team at LSU, or graduating from LSU, or eventually earning more playing time at LSU is their goal.
The fans on here are the one's who think incoming recruits every season will get immediate playing time. The current players were once incoming recruits and probably think they can play as well.

Yeah, I saw the other day there was a thread that I assumed was made up almost entirely by his alters.

Wonder if Nicky Dawson expects to walk in and start her first year. Serret will probly be the shortstop for the next three years. They got too many second basemen as it is. I wonder about Bourg and Sanchez and whether they will stick around. Bourg is a good ball player and is versatile The freshman pitcher might work her way into rotation next year. If not she might be gone.

That's why I said their goals. If wearing the uniform is the goal, they've made it. Each player has something different in mind I'm sure.

I doubt the freshman is better than Smith and she can't seem to find much time.

I should've specified that that was not a comment directed at that out of control Nikki Dawson thread. I saw where that thread was going and said no thank you.

Just for shits and giggles there will be an opening at 3rd, 1st, DP, and LF is hardly locked down. I don't see why those two would be so down on their chances to play that they say no mas.

I could see Dawson in LF. You say it might not be locked down, but it sure seems to be as of now. I do not see Sanchez or Bourg playing 3B. It's a different animal than SS/2B. A huge part is mental.

Bourg started and did fine the last 3rd of the year. Has she played any INF this year? Her speed almost assures OF with the current and future INF players, but again, she has that speed today and hasn't logged much time out there.

The right handed pitchers do just fine from what I've seen though.

As recently as 1 game ago Thornhill didn't get the start. Granted it was kind of Domino effect reason but the message can be read that if there's somebody playing who can come out it's in LF.

Why does it have to be about everyone transferring?? Like saintsfan said above, do you know what is in the heart of these kids? Maybe they like their role on the team...maybe they want to stay around and improve that role. Like I said about Corbello, she appears to be quite happy in her role. Seems like she is a kid who loves LSU and wants that degree from here.

As for Sydney Smith, the freshman pitcher, she had to look at the roster and see Hoover and Walljasper each with 3 years left, and she came here anyway! She has to know she isn't going to overtake one of them...and that she is going to have to be at her best to see time. Maybe she wanted that challenge? Her parents even moved down here from Minnesota to live here while she is in school. Does that sound like someone who might transfer?

Why is everyone so worried about people transfering. Kids are walking into this program knowing everyone is very good and it will be hard to win a spot. It is also a testament to the talent level now at LSU under Torina. Keep in mind this is a veteran roster with all american sophomores in the circle. Nothing was going to change this year.

We have another elite pitcher coming in next fall too. Kids come here because they want to play with the best and beat the best. LSU can offer that.

Also, enough with Dawson crap. Yes she is an incredible player, can we not finish this season? Just because she is a super freak in HS, doesn't mean she will waltz in and be starting lead off. Let things play out. Its a big adjustment from HS to college.
