This will probably be Beths best team this year. But a lot of young talent. Two freshman pitchers ranked in top 10 overall out of high school and #2 player ovr Maci Bergeron from Notre Dame high school she’s gunna be at catcher for sure

I’m trying to figure out if you mean they will be the best team they have this year or Beth’s best team since being at LSU

If it’s the latter then I’ll be pretty damn excited. The last 2 years have been very disappointing. It’s a shame 2020 was canceled because they were off to a 21-3 start.

On paper, yes. This freshman class is THE class they have been waiting for for years. They have a solid core of returning All SEC players, some key transfer additions, and a top 5 recruiting class. Should be a much better performance on the field this year. The offense on paper should be more than fine with Pleasants, Clark, Briggs, Coffey, Newland, Redoutey, and the transfers they added

The pitching though is a big question mark though with the only proven player being Kilponen and then you have a lot of freshmen. I know they were on paper "high rated" but not all freshmen transition quickly year one. Chaffin or one of the freshmen has to step up and emerge behind Kilponen. That was a major issue at the end of last season when we had to throw Ali out there repeatedly because they had no one they trusted behind her
