Had time to calm down.

Lane made a few mistakes since he was hired that are hurting us now.

-Retaining Baker seemed great at the time. But Baker will always be a 8-4/9-4 at best coach.

-Letting your assistants coach Ole Piss in the playoffs and beating Georgia was a bad idea. It gave our offense staff less time to scout this years roster. Also hurt because we probably get more Ole Piss players to come because Golding wouldn’t have won that game without Weis Jr

-We hired Lane so he can be Lane. He put too much trust into Baker in both our losses. I don’t think that trust will be regained. Baker beats up on bad offenses but shites the bed against good teams. He is a G5 coach

I think we see a different Lane approach to things. He will call games now like he did at Ole Miss. Our defense can’t be relied on.

Baker and Lane can only work if both are aggressive.

If they both coach soft, we are doomed. Thats not who we are

Lane didn’t become the LSU coach until January essentially

I agree with this. I think Lane tried to lean on his defense more than he ever has in the past, thinking the group was elite.

I expect he'll go back to being more offensive minded throughout the game and none of this pussy footing around 4th and short situations etc.

Look - I'm not going to be in a position to defend Baker, but neither loss is really on the defense. Just 1 more fricking yard and we win the game at Kentucky with ball at the end - twice.

@Ole Miss? We just needed one more offensive play.

The offensive geniuses couldn't come up with a single critical play when needed in both games. Certainly the defense has no more blame than the offense.

What am I missing?

I agree brother. Love LSU with all my heart so this is killing me. Sad to not matter anymore so early in the season. They will do something stupid like beat bama or Texas but we will just be a spoiler, spreading our misery of not making the playoffs again.
