Swann is a backup, that's why he's here. We are more lucky than most in that he actually has SEC experience.

No one with top end talent or experience is coming to sit.

For now. No guarantee he doesn’t bounce after the Spring. We’ve had really good QB injury luck the last several years save Brennan. We had 4 scholarship QBs going into last year, and if Nuss had gone down early, we’re probably sitting here at 3-7. We’re not going into next year with only 3 with a chance of 2 if Swann decides to peace out.

Of course we’re not getting a big named veteran. That’d be a stupid move by both parties. But we at least need another camp arm for depth.

One more thing. We just lost 4 out of 5 of the best pass blocking OL probably in the country, and they all started 3 years here together. Hopefully their replacements are better run blockers, but it is inevitable our pass pro won’t be as good. And Nuss is not the most mobile cat we’ve ever had at that position. He’s liable to get beat up pretty good, especially early. Unless we’ve got a PWO or 2 who are competent, but came here because they just love LSU and were able to pay their own way, I’d be very surprised if we don’t go get somebody, mid as he may be.

Keep developing Hurley, he's a Dual Threat QB. He needs to work on his accuracy but makes D play both the run and throw. He's only 17 or 18 now so alot of upside and a big kid.

Any QB that transfers here does so knowing for certain he’s sitting the bench next season. All of your big name transfer QBs are going to teams where they know they’ll start at.

Qb’s in portal want to play
They are not coming to sit behind nuss
LSU can spend that money elsewhere as qb aren’t cheap
