Yes, I can

I'd only command a salary around $250,000 per.

I really would do a good job

I have accepted it, and come to peace with selling my long-time season tickets so some other fan will be fortunate enough to get to see in person what I saw with 3 years of JJ. I'll enjoy having my Fall weekends to fish and hunt instead of watching our program run into mediocrity by horrific QB play.

Keep Chief. Hire a young offensive guru with an adaptable gameplan. Let Wilson and co do work on the recruiting trail. Stay the frick out the way. Championship!!!

to be fair, the program didn't exactly get run into the ground in JJ's 4 years.

8 to 9 to 11 to 13 is a trend of improvement

but 1//9 ruined everyones memory of everything.

You're right about the trend, but JJ had nothing to do with that. We won those years with defense in a weak SEC West. Auburn was garbage (except for one flash-in-the-pan year with Cam), Ole Miss and State were garbage, and Arkie just didn't have the horses.

Yep. That will always be his legacy. The one time we needed him to step up and win a huge game for us, he played his worst. He'll always be remembered for that game more than all the others combined, and deservedly so.

The backups are learning the zone blocking scheme this year on the OL, I am hoping LSU is close to equivalent on the OL next year. QB is anybodies guess obviously.

Only potential problem on D is DEs and maybe LBs, but I think the LBs will be ok even if Kwon leaves.

All this is clearly contingent on injuries.

He beat 7 ranked teams
he stepped up 7 times.

they are the ones that got a second chance. We didn't get a do over.

Also we stepped up and beat Ohio St in 2007.

the point being, saying that was the ONE time we needed him and he let us down, completely ignores every time he stepped up to get us there.

which is why we lost that game

oh wait frick you we won 42-10

Another myth busted, Les Miles has never made half time adjustments.

We outscored UGA 35-0 int he second half.

People harping on that game are the reason i hate half out fan base. They don't need a win, they need to win in a way appealing to them.

the MLB is the most important part of our defense. it sucks the kwon is leaving, but when have made to with OLB, but not bad MLB play.

That being said we have some solid OLB on the team, and if kwon leaves and a spot it open the will be real attractive to Malik Jefferson

Are you really trying to defend JJ's performance against Georgia?

No, I thought we were talking about Les Miles. JJ sucked, but the rest of the team kicked arse that game.

Come on. He never faced a situation in which we needed him to come through and make the big plays to win. Throughout his career, he was supported by a great defense that kept the game close while he floundered. The only game where you could really say he stepped up was maybe the Cotton Bowl against A&M. The other big games we won during that time were because of defense, special teams, etc.

And what did high school student Jordan Jefferson have to do with that one?

It was one of the very few times in his career that the defense couldn't shut down the other team so we needed to score some points against a really good opponent, and he couldn't do it.

Well, OK, maybe there were a couple of others.

Auburn 2010 comes to mind. We held the best offense in the country to 24 points, but couldn't score more than 17 against one of the worst defenses in the SEC, so he didn't step up, but at least he didn't play his worst.

Arkansas 2010 was maybe another one, when the defense was literally tripping over itself and we needed the offense to perform against a shitty defense. But, then, it wasn't in him to step up then, either.

If you have contrary examples, please provide them. Show me one time, against a really good team, that the defense was failing us and we needed to come through offensively to win, and Jefferson did it. I can't think of one, but maybe I'm forgetting. Help me out.

That explains a lot. Best to actually read the thread before jumping into it.

Well, as long we're guessing, put me down for another year of sub-par QB play from a player whom the coaching staff doesn't trust. What do I win if I'm miraculously right?

I would love to see us get one of those graduating senior transfers to come in for one year. Jacoby Brissett?

OL will be better next season with Pocic at one tackle, Dodd at Center and RS Clapp at one of the Guards. They'll form the foundation of what Grimes wants and will be more effective and efficient with his Zone Blocking, Blitz Pick-Up's and "5 playing together as 1."

It's imperative though, that Harris HAS to get it together in the Spring and TAKE OVER the QB position or it will all be for naught.

Probably similar to this year. We're not bringing in any rock stars at QB iirc. Only difference in terms of personnel is that a third-string scholarship QB gets absolute garbage time snaps instead of Kragthorpe but that's maybe 5-6 snaps all next year.

As far as performance... man, I want to be optimistic, but it's hard to be.
