I have actually had a few e-mails from LSU about it since last week.

I am pretty sure everyone has a facebook nowadays and I've seen multiple posts by LSU and LSU football with a gameday poster stating it was the gold game and to try and get there early. Maybe they're handing something out to the first wave of people going in.
