Well I lurked awhile, and post on Rivals...

this site loves to pit 1 QB vs 2 QB when in reality they need each other.

Flynn would not have been as good as he because had JR not pushed him for 4 years and JR needed Flynn to push him to get better.

These are guys who were nationally recruited with offers from various BCS schools. They have the talent to play at a high level in SEC. Its a matter of coaching, maturity, and players aroud them.

Just like in 3 years Garrett and Shep will have some new hot shot freshmen helping them improve. Knowing they need to play better to keep an underclassmen from taking their job.

As he spent most of the season getting 3rd string reps, I'm sure all the reps he got revolved around his skillset that would be utilized if he ever saw game action. Once it became apparent that he would became the starter he got more reps for plays that Lee and Hatch were expected to perfect. How many reps do you think Hatch got throwing the deep out?

Rude awakening regarding JJ's committment or his ability to play the position? That can be 2 different factors. The fact is that Marcus Randle knew the plays. He wasn't the most accurate passer, but he knew what to do with the ball. He also suffered with a severe case of nerves when he opened the game. It was nice for him to watch a while from the bench first. He was extremely intelligent young man. He clammed up during public speaking, but he was very smart.

shouldnt be too hard to live up to the awesomeness of Matt Flynn.

Are you capable of an original thought or do you just regurgitate the shite that SFP and his ilk spew?

He's not even a top 5 LSU QB of all times.

So? Are you saying only 5 QBs can be good?

nonsense.

the rant knows certain QB's can't be "heady" and "coaches on the field" like some other ones.

No wonder JL through so many picks. Now it makes sense. If he didnt know the plays, its all comin together now. Cause JL was the #2 QB last year if im not mistaken.

I am telling you folks, you are in for a rude awakening with JJ. He will be a whole lot closer to Marcus Randle than Jamarcus or Flynn as far as being a successful LSU QB.

I think that quote speaks volumes.

Its Randall, not Randle. And you are totally wrong. Marcus Randall wish he had the arm strength Jefferson had.

The big advantage J.J. has is Crowton's offense and all the talent that surrounds him.

I have a question.

I've stayed out of all of these JL vs. JJ threads...mostly because both sides retarded representatives seems to bog down the posts...but I'm curious for those of you who are passionate about this and have been following it.....

Are the people who support JL over JJ:

- JL's family?
- Racists?
- Just think JL's getting a bum rap? (if it's this one, then I can understand rooting for him, but there seems to be some JJ hate from some of these folks....hence choice #2)

I'll hang up and listen.

TIA.

I think from what I have seen in my short time lurking and now posting it would be Option 3.

The main Lee people I see have stated that Jefferson deserves to start. Granted their are a few people who believe it could be option 2.

I personally think he has been given a bad reputation. I mean his issues are correctable as they are reading a defense and locking onto his reciever.

Jefferson deserves to start and has the potential to be great but it is still potential.
He has given us a glimpse but we haven't seen the whole package yet.

He has played 2 games and there has been threads about him winning Heisman or being best QB at LSU.

If their a difference in the 2 type of comparisons?
Just curious
