quote:And right on cue.
Just like Flynn pulled that play out of his arse at the last second btw with stupid letting the clock go down again against Auburn hitting Byrd for a spectacular catch in the endzone.
quote:And bonus points for being so damaged you had to invent a fictional reality to point out a mistake by Miles that simply didn't occur in the real world.
He doesn't catch it, LSU loses
But the real telling point is that you just flat out lacked the maturity, brains or guts for your honest response to be simply admitting that Saban made a mistake. Of course you will pretend now that you can accept that Saban has made mistakes. But it is just another lie, becaue if you honestly understood that, you would have simply said, "yeah, Saban messed up on occassion; so what?"
quote:And the saddest thing about your life (which is saying a shitload) is that you absolutely cannot live without picking them apart. The thought that someone might actually be enjoying LSU football drives you absolutely nuts, and you just can't let it be until everyone is as pissed off and miserable as you are.
you guys are easy to pick apart.

quote:Saban chose him to start the bowl game that year over Rohan Davey. That's how Saban responded to Booty calling a non-existent play to lose a home game to UAB. That's what you call being "in control of your team" apparently.
And what became of Booty after that
Posted on 7/7/10 at 2:55 pm to King Joey
I believe Booty's pampered arse was on the bench the next week. You know when Rohan led the team to a victory over Tennessee. The only reason Booty saw the field again that season was because Rohan was injured. And maybe, just maybe, that arse chewing Saban gave him and pulling him knocked some sense into him.

you don't think the fact that booty wasn't a saban player and hadn't been coached long under Saban effects the situation at all?
Of course no coach has that. And to suggest that Alem absolutely wouldn't have kicked that ball in '07 if Saban were his coach is just to laughably attempt to rewrite history to ignore every penalty (especially the braindead ones, like false starts, personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct) that Saban's Saban's players commit every year (even in his 5th year).

booty got the job back the next week in the second half vs UF when Rohan completed like 30% of his passes. I seem to remember Rohan being injured to though.

quote:Shockingly, you miss the point again. The argument was made that Saban's players never do stupid things in games that hurt the team because Saban is totally in control of his team and they are so disciplined they never ever make mistakes. Obviously this was not the case with Booty vs. UAB so I pointed out how ludicrously stupid the argument was.

Imagine my shock when you would show up to defend an argument based on the highest levels of stupidity, delusion and irrationality.

And whats even more amazing is how some are willing to excuse a coach that hasn't been here in over 5 years and doesn't give a shite about LSU (i know it hurts to hear...but Saban doesnt give a shite about LSU) while at the same time crucifying a guy that wears purple and gold every weekend.....alot times for the same exact failures.
No, not for the same failures. Completely different, much less excusable failures. Sometimes the coach doesn't get the team ready to play. It sucks, but it's hardly a dumbfounding move. When it happens, you can lose to a 7-4 UAB in 2000 or a 4-7 Arkansas in 2008. Or you can get blown out by Georgia in 2004...or Florida, Georgia and Ole Miss in 2008. And yes, sometimes a wild-arse unbelievably unlucky thing can happen when an Arkansas QB who is 2-for-15 on the day can hook up on a 50-yard pass against six-deep coverage...or a Florida receiver can catch a tipped ball for a TD on the first possession of the game when we've got them third and long.
But to let 17 crucial seconds run off the clock before calling timeout because you don't know the clock is running? Then, after that, to run a play to the hash marks (not the sideline or the end zone) and then not have another play called already or the FG unit ready to run on the field? Those are not even in the same ballpark with the screwups cited above. And, of course, there are the myriad examples of other time management blunders on top of that one.
And that's not even to mention hiring co-coordinators to screw up the defense in a year when you know you have a young QB and absolutely cannot affort to screw up the defense, calling idiotic drop back passes with a sack-prone QB on the edge of FG range or running a stupid-arse middle screen with no timeouts around midfield on a field of gumbo.

Saban runs a team like a good coach should, Carroll, Meyers, like Stoops although he hasn't been to good lately, they run a a tight ship, get on there players asses when they screw up because they want to see them succeed, but these fools think people are bowing down to Saban when all we are doing is giving the man his due.

Saban left to coach in the NFL when will y'all realize that, every coach wants a shot at the big leagues.

Take off the rose colored glasses Pollyanna...you're saying that Saban runs a tight ship, coaches properly and that his players can do wrong....when we know the opposite to be true.
Sure, he may run a tight ship but he cannont control every aspect of every game and what every player does on the field. He's not Nostradamus.
Miles runs a tight ship as well, you just refuse to see it because Saban's ball sack is hanging in front of your eyes.
All coaches make mistakes and gameplans get screwed up and yes...Oh My God...yes...they do mismanage the clock. It happens to all of them at some point in time.
