But you're missing the point. Saban left. He's gone. He's not coming back. You need to quit longing for him to magically reappear in the night as your knight in shining armor. I know he's the ultimate coach in your mind. Your whole argument is that Les isn't a good coach because he's not a carbon copy of Saban. You gotta move on.

I would be happy with a coach I had confidence in. Whether that be Saban, Butch Davis, Pete Carroll, etc. Or IF Miles proves me wrong this year.

Not at all. Like I have said, The last two years tell the story. Sabans teams DOMINATE the 4th quarter, Miles don't. Its all about how to manage a game. Rocket. Learn some football.GEEZ.

Sine we're playing the what if games, what if Alabama somehow won the NC with 2 losses? They backed in and ended up being where LSU was in '07......

it really is sad. Nobody says saban was not a good coach, just that he made mistakes too. And they come back with "you're right saban sucked"
And if you ever say something positive about Les or LSU? They have to jump in with "he's no saban" or "we would be better off with saban"

ahhh, noonan to the rescue again, look I could care less about Saban returning, this conversation is about his abilities compared to Les Miles, and somehow when folks do that you guys always come out the woodwork with "wow they want Saban bad" or "sleep in house with him".
It's about comparin a coach that is always sharply prepared, jumps in players asses when they screw up to make them better players, and take control in the 4th quarter of a game when it matters. On the other hand you have Gomer Pyle(Miles) doing his Kenny Rogers impersonation as the gambler, no control over his players what so ever which is why you stupid shite goes on like Alem kicking a ball downfield drawing a flag or his mismanagement of his assistant coaches like Crowton and others, with Crowton sending plays in late all the time I don't see how he gets away with that shite , the QB has to look to the sideline all the time to get a play burning up the 30 second clock, am I getting through here?
