Please don't hate on me, but prepare for realism & reality. I'm afraid younger fans will put too much pressure on Brennan to be as good as Burrow right off the bat...it's not going to happen...2021 will be his year to shine...

Nobody who understand the game will hate on you for this. It turns out very few actually get this concept. It's the sole reason I thought we would get to the playoff this year. We had so much returning talent that it would be an anomaly if we weren't better. I said this multiple times and people called BS.

We will take a step back next year. I don't know if that means we miss the playoff, but I could see us in serious dogfights with Texas, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama, and I don't know if we have the experience to handle it. Defensively, I think we will be fine, but it's hard to expect Myles to not have some setbacks going into his first year as a starter.

Last year I said the ceiling was a national championship and the ABSOLUTE floor was 10-2 with my prediction being 11-1.

2020 I say the ceiling is, again, the national championship (I truly believe we could come out and win it) and the ABSOLUTE floor is 8-4. I think we go 9-3/10-2 with losses to Alabama, UF (tossup), and Auburn. Texas still aint shite and either is TAMU. I just can't see us beating Auburn 4 years in a row, particularly when we play them at Jordan Hare again. Their defense won't be as nasty, but it will still be good and Nix should be at least a little better. UF will have Trask back with a full off-season and that's a game I could see going either way. It helps them that it is at home. If Tua comes back I can't see us beating Alabama, especially with the weapons they retain.

Just a realistic prediction. I know everybody hates those when they are bad and thinks you're a homer when they are good, but there it is.

Good point about Brennan BUUUUT, he passed for 15,000+ yards in high school. He has been in this system 2 years, will graduate and like Joe have almost nothing to do in Grad school except practice and study football. The little he played in the Oklahoma game he made good reads, threw accurate passes and made good decisions. Yes he will be good next year and maybe great the following year. I for one am very positive about the next two years. Saban is 68. If we beat Bama next year, that's 2 in a row. If we beat them the following year that's 3 in a row and I don't think Saban wants that on his record. So if we beat Bama next year Saban will be 70 and will retire. He already knows he's not getting the Louisiana recruits he used to prior to Oregon. Geaux Tigers!!

Damn some of you are already turning into pssies before we even make it thru Spring training. We have stocked up on talent as well as anyone in the country. We have also proven to coach up every position as good as anyone in the country.

Please believe in your coach and his ability to address our weaknesses as he has proven time and time again.

Uh huh uh huh ...

Look at the history of playoff participants and national championship winners and tell me if you notice something.

Assuming you do, explain that and then reconcile that with your view stated in your post.

If Charles and Deculus come back we'll be in good shape. Charles showing as a later round guy but would most likely start to come up draft boards.

Cush seems to be pretty high up on the predraft rankings, though I feel good about the depth on the interior line, but Tackle depth is a little scary.

usually what it takes to win championships. Bama won championships bc they were able to bring back veteran talent. Look at that last auburn championship team, that ol was all very experienced. It wasn't just Cam and fairley.

Orgeron wouldn’t play Brennan during some of the critical times.

You show me a single team that plays their backup QB in critical times to get them experience.

Show me just one. You can’t cuz that would be a ridiculous thing fir a coach to do.

We have beaten Auburn 3 years in a row...

2017 was the comeback
2018 Cole Tracy wins it
2019 Burrow kicks arse

Make no mistake Brennan will NEVER be Joe Burrow! But he does have one advantage over Burrow. The kid has exceptional arm talent! The ball jumps out of his hand and gets to the WR very quick.

Brennan will still have Chase, Marshall, McMath, Gilbert coming in at TE, and Palmer, Lee, Boutte and Moore fighting for the 4th WR spot. He'll have Price, Curry and Emory at RB. The OL and NFL draft is my biggest concern with Ingram, Cush, and Deculous eligible underclassmen and MaGee, Lewis and Traore graduating.

If the OL can protect the QB, Brennan will be the second best passing QB in LSU history but still won't come close to Burrow's numbers!
