Not really a fan of it tbh but we could do much much worse I'd say. Definitely upgrade over O so there's upside at least. Like you I don't think he's a fit here. I wouldn't be upset by it but wouldn't be homerun either I guess. I'd probably be neutral on this.

He wouldn’t be my first or second choice, but he’s a competent coach.

Oh I agree. I am not advocating for him at all.
I guess all I’m saying is that he’s be a meh hire but a definite improvement compared to O and O’s predecessor

He’s a legit young superstar in his profession. He would recruit lights out here and win a championship. I’d be very happy to have him.

Not an exciting hire. He will keep LSU a middle tier SEC team, no more.
