So is Crowton out after the end of the season?

I was thinking that because Miles is half-heartedly taking responsibility for the Ole Miss debacle, do you think behind the scenes Crowton is getting the brunt of the blame and do you think he will be fired at season's end?
If so, when do you suspect this will be done and who do you think will be his replacement? Do you think Steve Sarkisian at Washington, Boise State's OC, or Charlie Weiss might be considered? Sure, you would have to pay these people $$$, but you would have to anyway if you are going to get somewhere. I think Charlie Weiss would be much more effective at being strickly an OC rather than head coach, sort of like he was at New England.
I guess a way to gauge if and when a possible replacement will be is to compare it to when Peveto/Mallory were let go and Chavis was signed. What month did that occur last year?

I hope so..our offense, as good as it can be, is an embarrassment

Yes, along with 2-3 other offensive coaches.
For a new OC, some high up members really like Derek Dooley.

Why would the head coach @ Washington do this?

As long as you pay him enough, he would do it. The head coach at Washington does not even come close to what our head coach is getting.

Polar Bear,
I personally think that with equal talent, Derek Dooley could out coach Les Miles 9 out of 10 times. Plus, he comes from good genes. Unfortunately, I see the A.D. and TAF people at LSU will let him slip by and he winds up at Gawga.
I've always liked the kid as a coach, I wish he would have been given the opportunity when L.M. was hired.
With that said, I think (who do I think I am
) that the LSU A.D. should lead and not follow bean counters; tell the fools to get out of your way. Are you listening (I mean reading Joe?) Ubi fumus, ibi ignis; that is cigar smoke!

Happy Thanksgiven to the LSU A.D. and his staff....

Apparently, we'll owe Crowton close to $1 million if he's let go after this year. Not sure if that's a big deal or not. If that wasn't a factor, I'd say he'd be gone for sure.

I'm betting GC has a short sale on his house.

why the frick would anyone want Dooley? his team is 3-8 after going to a bowl last year..

Crowton will not be let go.Most of the problem is a young qb and some offensive linemen. Miles is not as stupid as you think he is.

Pretty much the whole offensive staff will be replaced except Yanowski. I think LSU would owe Crowton 1 million though.

Unlike most here i think that will be a mistake.I think they need one more year.
