So good ole Charlie Roberts is still a VIP at football games?

Say whatever you want about the guy (IMHO he is a total embarrasement to the Univ and has been for years), but even if you support him, how is it that he resigns in disgrace yet was down on the field pregame (could see him on field in end zone) with an LSU NAME TAG ON!!!! Can anyone help me out on this? Not saying he cant go to a game, but how in the name of God can LSU allow him on field rep LSU???? I'm wide open as to the reason for this decision.

He was there with his fiancé Pam Matassa. She used to work for channel 33 WVLA.

One would assume he would no longer by a rep for LSU, but I guess someone still feels he should be on the field pre game given what agreat job he has done both fund raising (our alum endowment is 11th out of 14 SEC schools under his "leadership") and they fine man he appears to be by most all accounts..ok...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say since the game wasn't on campus that LSU has no control, outside of who they included in their field pass list, over who Texans/Advocare/NRG/Other Sponsors invited to be on the field before the game.

Wow, if this is true (he was wearing an LSU badge) this is pretty unreal. I never met the guy but trust the many people over the years who worked with or near the guy that he was suspect in many ways. After what came out (and some say its tip of iceberg) can't imagine anyone at L SU wanted him to still be associated with university, much less on field as a VIP....and like earlier post said numbers don't lie, our alumni group is near bottom in $'s according to Nola piece a few months back..

I didn't look at the field passes for this game but neutral site games typically have the game logo and stuff on them not just LSU.
Let me be clear, I'm not supporting Charlie. But he very may well have been asked on the field by someone other than an LSU staff member.

Charlie Roberts is a disgrace ...I will not go into details of his arse-kissing antics when DiNardo came to LSU. ...at least his replacement is a class act, Cliff Vannoy

Charlie Roberts will always be supported by both the Alumni Association and the University itself. There are many reasons for this, but nothing as bad as people think and I love the uninformed people acting like they know things. That's all.

I'd rather not. I'm not even saying I know everything, anyway. I'm just close to the situation and know nothing "evil" is going on, that's all. Take it for what it's worth (not much, but meh).
